Last run was on a higher gear. Run them all on 1:1 gear. Last run you toppped out at 187 MPH while the first two you did 145 so you will get higher numbers by default.

YES, thank you. This makes me wonder if anyone in that entire shop knows how a dyno works. I cant believe how almost every video they have a car not in its 1:1 gear or even letting a car shift mid pull... at least someone there should know that's not how it works

@@smeents2003 yeah it makes sense that the last pull was lower hp since it's an OD gear (0.77:1). They obviously don't understand the basics of gearing. They claim they were giving it (all the RPM) on the last run and it makes no sense.

Rpm is a function of torque and rpm, the horsepower is the same in every gear, the torque to the wheel gets multiplied, the wheel rpm gets divided as you drop gears and reverse as you go higher. They cancel out. They generally run higher gears to reduce the torque on the dyno and help w/grip for some cars.

It's 8.4 liters. Big, heavy pistons are not good for revving, rpm is not just about the number of pistons. 1 cylinder 150cc mopeds rev past 9k. Parallel-twin 250cc motorcycles rev up to 12k.
