This is another song from Teresa's Album of Ancient Poetry.
The lyrics from this song are written by Li Houzhu (Chinese: 李後主; pinyin: Lǐ Hòuzhǔ; literally "The Latter Lord Li") (937--978), the last ruler of the Southern Tang Kingdom from 961 to 975. Li Houzhu devoted much of his time to pleasure-making and literature, and this is reflected in his early poems.
A second phase of Li's ci poems seems to have been the development of a sadder style after the death of his wife, in 964.However, his best-known, and saddest, poems were composed during the years after the Song formally ended his reign in 975 his regret for the lost kingdom and the pleasures it had brought him. He was poisoned by the Song emperor Taizong in 978.

What a song, classic and sad. This is the beauty of the great civilization of the Chinese. Teresa has voice and beauty to bring ton of emotion.

A very beautiful song from the "Light Exquisite Feeling" album. How can anyone not be completely swept away by her angelic voice and beauty wearing lovely Chinese period dress. A true singer and roll model for the ages! Our amazing angel, we love you more than you will ever know. ❤

Thank you, Brother. I'm glad you like it. The lyrics, as you know, were a poem written by an emperor held under house arrest. He was a better poet than a warrior. It was a rather sad poem and the costume Teresa wears in this video reflects that period.

Hi, there, Sithuharrison3770, it's great to hear from you. I was a teenager when I first heard and liked Teresa's songs. She was also a teenager then, 5 years my senior. She passed on at the age of 42 in Thailand on May 8th, 1995. It's been many years, but her fans still remember her and the number of new fans grow daily. She was so much a part of my life as I see her on TV sometimes, hear her voice on the radio daily and read about her in magazines and dailies. Thank you for taking time to comment.
