Sometimes when we are just starting out we don't know how much to charge for paint party. We tend to charge more or less than the market cost of one painting party event.

When reaching out to these venues to try to host a party there, how does that work? Do you pay them in advance for the space? What advice do you have for someone like me who is unsure whether or not they can teach. I paint but would not consider myself an artist. I am about to teach a party as a fundraiser for a local organization that I’m a member of. I’m extremely nervous and feel like they will ask themselves “why is she teaching us, she’s no artist!” 🤦‍♀️

Thanks for watching!Many times, your painters are more concerned with how they will do and how you are doing. I suggest doing a Guinee Pig party first with a small group of friends or family to practice. Break your painting down be each step and write out the instructions for your painters to have with them. Remember to SMILE!!!

Does the venue get a cut or do you get the $40/per and they just get the advantage of getting the customers' busineess? I have my first at a coffee shop but they are expecting a cut of my fee. Any advice?

I would look for another coffee shop that is new and would like people to discover it or one that has extra space so it’s never completly full with customers. People order drinks and snacks while painting and sometimes like the Café and become returning customers

I do have a friend who is a painter and is willing to do the teaching portion of the party. I would do and provide everything else. I would be the host and coordinator she would just be the teacher. I am also looking into having other painters as options. So how would one pay them? What should their cut be?

It's more about FUN art than fine art! I have a member in Paint Party Headquarters that only painted 2 times before starting her paint party business. I think you would have to look at the business relationship and decide how the profits would be cut. I believe in a profit every party, so teaching them yourself - you will make all the $$$!
