Surprisingly Gikomba is one of the safest places. The traders do not allow or take it kindly to any thiefery. It spoils their business and prevents otherwise good customers from visiting. They deal with such incidents very badly.

This was exciting and exhausting to watch at the same time. I have to big up our fellow countrymen who try to eke out a living at great odds. I wish one day those in authority can have a plan for Gikomba and the people who work there. Kyno has got to be the realest and down to earth mzungu who has ventured out there, freely interacting with locals and partaking in the street food that might not always be safe for the untrained stomach. Good stuff!

Again, nice video. But correction, Mutura is not made by left overs and it is not a sausage for the poor. Mutura is a local sausage, that is eaten on all contexts, and cooked in different ways. I disagree with your opinion because mutura is prepared at parties and in certain restaurants. It is crafted from fresh ingredients. Describing it as leftover or associating it with poverty is misleading, akin to the Philippines' pagpag, which mutura distinctly is not. Mutura is a prevalent street food, but it is neither leftover nor confined to the streets, particularly in central Kenya.

Kenyans are so hard working. I used to go to this market when I lived in Nairobi 20 years ago before I immigrated to Canada. I used to go piga camera at 5am. I would buy ladies clothes then dry cleaned them and would sell to ladies at Citi Bank and other banks, and companies like Coca Cola. I would make at least triple the money…miss my customers, they used to line up waiting for me and they would write me cheques to cash at the end of the month…typical Kenyan hustler woman even here in Canada. Kino I have a suggestion for you you know I have been following from the very begging you had I think around 500 followers at the time I am the guy from australia 🇦🇺 but Serbian background I would recommend for you after you decide to finish your travels to write a book about it all maybe you should take notes of interesting things that happened and I believe it would be a hit 😂

Yes, it would definitely make sense to write a book after this kind of journey. But the problem is that it takes so much time to write a book! By myself, it would take me between 6 months and 1 year. So if I do it, it will be when I will be older.

@@KinoYves yes but you can get someone to help you maybe and even if you write it slowly even if it takes you 3 or 4 years still good but I think it will take you a fair while anyway because when you start to remember all the good things and the bad things there will be so many things to write about but I think it will be interesting and good 👍 and hopefully you get to do it sooner or latter take care cheers 🍻

I already wrote a book on a previous journey though. But yeah, if I do it, it would probably take me several 3 to 5 years. Maybe one day I will make the effort to write it, after I complete all my plans regarding traveling. But the problem is that completing all my travel plans before I die is already gonna be a difficult task.
