Also remember its important to think about if you even *need* to spend this much for a build, depending on what games you enjoy you might achieve a basically identical experience for way less by choosing more reasonable parts rather than trying to go overkill

Yeah. The most recent games I've been playing are No Man's Sky and Mass Effect Trilogy. Those all run at 4k 120 fps no problem on an RTX 3070 + 10700k build. Before this, I was on a 1660 build, that would run all the good battlefield games, GTA 5, and most classics, it was honestly the perfect PC for me at first. I just wanted to play all the PC-only classics, like Valves Games. I do plan on a 5080 or 5090 build before 2026 because there are a few new games that I have, and that are coming out soon that I want to be able to play on my 4K OLED monitor.

Don't forget another VERY important thing to remember Budget your pc according to what you A. Plan on playing B. How much time to game you actually have C. How much you are willing to spend on games Even tho it feels nice to spend, it's not worth spending like 1.5k on a pc if all you play is stuff like counter strike or tf2

I think Optimum right now on the German market is around 1600€ for Tower, all parts, Monitor and Periferals as well as Windows. Core would be a 7800 xt or comparable GPU with a Ryzen 7600 or comparable CPU. ~ 200€ for a 2k 27" 180 Hz IPS Monitor, 32gb ddr5 6000 CL30s RAM, a 1TB m.2 SSD, 850w PSU around 100€, a newer 20€ aircooler and a cheap tower with at least 2 fans preinstalled, one at the front, one at the back. Then you should have about 200€ for a Keyboard, a mouse and a Headset as well as a mousepad.

There are two main build strategies which have existed for 30+ years: This is the approach most builders tend to favor - starting with the CPU + GPU combo and then piecemealing the rest of the system around them. While not inherently a bad approach, it does tend to limit expansion and upgradeability. Usually good for 2-3 years before buying a new system. Less popular because it's a greater initial outlay, but is far more economical in the long run. Emphasis is on quality base components - primarily the case, PS, motherboard, and key peripherals. The motherboard can readily accommodate multiple expansions and upgrades, while the rest can endure through two or more future motherboards. The motherboard is usually good for 5-8 years before needing to be replaced/upgraded, while the rest can easily go 15+ years.
@tumage8592
@tumage8592 11 күн бұрын
Yup. With Hindsight you should alway spend a lot on Motherboard and PSU. With the Motherboard you would want to get a newest gen one with modern Support, in this case a b650e would be optimal, and have a PSU that has at least 10 years warranty. I now changed my PSU to a SeaSonic vertex 850w gold+. I thought about going from my MSI b650 gaming plus WiFi to an Asus rog Strix b650e-f, but I dont know if thats worth the extra hassle

@@tumage8592 I've found it well worth investing in 'the latest and greatest' mobo-wise, with Z (Intel) or X (AMD) #80 or #90 chipsets - usually available in the $175-$225 price range. Got an MSI PRO Z-690-A last year for $184; currently running an i7-12700K @ 3.4 GHz, but it can readily handle an i9-14900K @ 6 GHz when and if I feel like upgrading that far. My prior mobo (ASRock X-99 Extreme 4) was still running strong after ten years of hard use, despite the 2011-v3 dead-ending much sooner than I had anticipated. My Corsair GS800 PSU is still handling things after 13+ years, as is my CoolerMaster HAF 932 case. And my Corsair K100 RGB gaming keyboard is still good as new after four years. Mileage varies, of course, but I've regretted every cheap mobo I've ever bought and (even despite the 2011-vs dead ending) never regretted the expense of getting a quality motherboard right out the gate.

For a new pc 800-1500ish dollar budget is the sweet spot. Anything above is enthusiast level or juat overkill for most ppl. Less than 800 and imo go used for a dead socket like am4 or lga1700 but otherwise am5. My guidlines is aleays to have a pc where as much as possible is viable for your situation or future upgrades. Not just to upgrade the åc but to have resale value and contrary to popular belief that's not just in what mobo you choose. Psu and case matter a lot too. 800 build (aim is 1440p) Ryzen 8400f 90-100bucks/7500f 120 bucks Asrock a620 hdv/m.2+ 100bucks 32gb ddr5 6000mhz 90 bucks 650w psu preferably modular and passive 80bucks Decent budget case 50-70bucks 500gb nvme ssd (your mobo has multiple slots) 40 bucks Intel b580/rx6750xt 250-300bucks Note the 8400f is a perfectly viable and upgradeable cpu especially for 1440p its great even if it loses in 1080p to the 7500f by a bit. 1000-1200 build Ryzen 7600x3d 300 bucks Asrock b650 hdv/m.2+ 120bucks 32gb ddr5 6000mhz 90 bucks Thermalright peerless assasin 40bucks 1tb m.2 ssd 60 bucks Psu same as 800build Get a slightly nicer case for say 100bucks 7800xt 450bucks Note you can save money going for a 7500f but I like the 7600x3d especially cus its not hiked up in price and in game is about on par w the 7800x3d for a lot less money. For games like poe or tarkov this system is killer. You can also save money going for the b580 ot 6750xt 1500-2000 build 9800x3d 480bucks Asrock b650 hdv/m.2 120bucks 32gb ddr5 6000mhz 90 bucks Thermalright peerless assasin 40 bucks Psu 750-850w 100 bucks Case same as mid build so 100bucks 1tb m.2 ssd 60 bucks 4070 SUPER 600 bucks Note yes this is over 1500 but its about the best of everything you can get for a reasonable price. Is it that much faster than the 1200 dollar build? No but it gets you a notiacble step up cpu wise and dlss and rt w the 4070 super and the 4070 super is still an ok card imo. But I wouldn't try and buy a much higher end one as of right now. Whatever you'll loose on a say 600 dollar or lower gpu is kinda not that much if you do wanna go 50 or 9000 series.

With a 3080Ti ? Still a very capable card. Probably stick with the last of AM4. If it's just a gaming rig then a Ryzen 5700x3D, but if you're doing more than gaming then maybe a Ryzen 9 5900x, with two sticks of 3200 and 16 CAS DDR4 memory for a total of 32GB, but maybe 64GB. Maybe a MSI B550 Tomahawk motherboard and a 1 TB PCIe Gen 4 M.2 SSD from Western Digital. But hurry, Tariff man wants to grab your money.

Over Q4 2024 I spent roughly 2.5k on a new PC to replace my 3-4 year old system, 4070ti Super, Ryzen 7 9700x, some kingston fury ram, and some WD Black SSDs are the important specs, and frankly I think as long as nothing breaks this should last me at least 8 years.
@nasi-c3s
@nasi-c3s 3 күн бұрын
Do you think a $3000 build with a 4080 super, i9 14900k, 64gb ddr5, and WD Black SSD is overkill for fps and high-fidelity games like Fortnite, Call of Duty, and Elden ring? Or am I fine?
@YeeMacghyee
@YeeMacghyee 3 күн бұрын
@ 64gb is overkill for nearly everything, 32 is fine. As for the Intel CPU, I've never used one so I can't say. 4080 Super should be plenty good for your purposes. Good luck friend

I would avoid a620 motherboards. They are very cheap and usually have very low end motherboards so you won't have a very good upgrade path and it could even throttle something like a 7600x. I would also go for a better GPU. You could've definitely done a LOT better, but if you like this and you care more about looks then your opinion is what matters at the end of the day.
@trashname1233
@trashname1233 13 күн бұрын
@wolffwolfie3166 yeah definitely could’ve gotten a better gpu but i got it for $220 so for the price it’s pretty damn good but for an (almost) all white build its good enough for me considering i just play cs2 on high 1080p

Hey, got a question, if I am upgrading from an Nvidia card to an AMD card, what should I do with the Nvidia app should I just leave it on the computer or uninstall it, and will all my games automatically switch to AMD settings eg. FSR?
@WIP03

Use an app called display driver uninstaller to remove your old nvida drivers before then putting in the AMD card and installing the latest driver for your new card. Enjoy your upgrade :)

Idk if this is where I should ask this but I’m planning on building a pc with a budget of $3,200 (I’m a newbie builder but my dad will help because he has built many before). I’m planning on getting a 5070 when it comes out, an intel i9 14900, a GIM ATX Gaming PC Case, 270° Full View Tempered Glass case, a ASUS ROG Maximus Z890 Hero motherboard, a EVGA 1300W power supply (i might save up to get a 5090 eventually so I’m gonna need that power), Kingston Fury Renegade 64GB 6400MT/s DDR5 ram, Seagate BarraCuda 4TB Internal Hard Drive HDD and somehow pair it with a Crucial T705 2TB PCIe Gen5 NVMe M.2 SSD. It will be water cooled by a NZXT Kraken elite 360 paired with 8 more regular fans. Am I doing anything wrong or should I switch out some parts? (Btw idk if I can transfer the hard drive data from my current gaming laptop to the new pc).

I’ve tried streaming and editing it can eat up storage fast so I would upgrade the ssd to at least a tb I got mine off Amazon for 60 bucks and I would save up for a used 3060 since they have better content creator features. but at the end of the day you’re setup doesn’t dictate your success just have fun making videos
