It might be only 140, but a lot of that power is down low. Where you need it for towing

That's not how it works. It has a lot of torque because it's making horsepower at a low rpm. If it made the same horsepower at highter rpm and the output shaft of the transmission spun at the same speed, it would have the same torque at the wheels and get the same work done towing even though there is less torque at the input shaft

For pulling, it's not about horsepower, but torque. Horsepower doesn't come into play until the higher RPMs.

True. Torque is what does the work. Horsepower is essentially a rating of momentum. Power/Time.

All depends how you use it. These motors moved America for years, just need more gear if the load too big. And more time, lol. 55-65 mph was max speed (engine redline,) for example, on an old square body chevy 1 ton duelly, with a 350 gas engine. Wanna say 160 or 170 hp back in the late 70's in the 1 tons.

@@itsyaboy9332 I referenced a 1 ton dually late 70's, with a 350. The gearing is literally so low you cannot go much faster than 65mph, the engine is at redline. I said nothing about how fast a stock caprice can go. Maybe read first, before commenting...

I put both the oldsfullsize and the american fullsize (or whatever it s called) in the vehicles folder. Now I can drive the olds 98 and the 88 and I have all textures.

You probably just clicked the download button at the top of the page. That is the base car of the mod. You must scroll down more to find the add on. It’s a zip file, so download that as well and put it in the mods folder.
