This is easily the most authentic/ realistic view into a small KZbinrs road to getting monitized. The two gals you mentioned that blew up in 2020 are great examples of combination of talent, hard work and luck. And most KZbin journeys aren’t like that. My growth on here is akin to your first year: slow but gradual . You’ve really inspired me to stay on track and keep going. I’m hoping my hard work and consistency will get me monitized in the next 6 months or so. Just gotta keep going.?Appreciate your insights sooo much!

Hi, I've just subscribed your KZbin channel to support your journey in KZbin. I've checked the numbers of videos in your channel, and have something to share my experience as an owner of a 2-month channel. I created my channel on June 22, 2024, approximately 2 months ago. In the first month, I worked 250 hours, uploaded 26 videos, 73 shorts and got 90k views and 300 subscribers. In my second month, I worked 180 hours, uploaded 14 videos, 60 shorts and got 40k views and 125 subscribers. In my first month, KZbin gave 2.6 million impressions and in my second month, 900 thousand impressions. I examined many other newly established and monetized channels. You uploaded 3 videos 3 years ago, 19 videos last year, and 6 videos this year. You have uploaded 28 videos in total in 2.5 years. Many new channel owners upload at least 1-2 videos a week and monetize within 12 months. I am also a new channel, but my humble advice is to try to upload at least 1 video a week. The advice I will give with confidence is to upload 1 video in 5 consecutive days, this makes 6 videos per month, 72 videos per year. As far as I can see, KZbin has set a certain lower limit and gives few impressions to channels below this limit. Accordingly, in order to be monetized, you need to upload 50-150 videos (average 75) in 1 year. If possible, upload your videos in 2k (HD) and above (ulta HD, i.e. 4K) quality (yours are around 720-1080p as far as I can see). You can upgrade your videos to 4k with the CapCut desktop video editing program, which can be downloaded for free. Believe me, channels that upload videos with much less effort than your videos can get more views and monetize within 12 months because they upload videos regularly and in sufficient numbers. I hope you will be monetized in 6 months from now.

The trick to KZbin I think is the creator themselves being watchable. Some put out good content but they themselves are dry or dull or boring. I wouldn't choose to watch again. Youre one of the charismatic creators, I come back for *you* with the content being the bonus. Youre always entertaining, like Jenna Marbles back in the day

This is a great comment. I agree the vlogger has to be interesting. However some group content creators (such as a family) they can get away with it if one or two members are dull/boring as they have others to fall back on. Solo creators have to work harder.

It's really great seeing creators be so open and honest about things like that. When I first started KZbin, back in 2016, I took a long break because of college and I was debating on coming back, because things weren't going well. It was challening for me, being Greek and doing content in English, but I was like, you're doing this for you, because you enjoy it, so get back there and post what makes you happy. At first, I was so nervous, I was so shut down, it wasn't until I let myself be free and post more relaxed, that I saw difference. I'm not making figures, but the videos are doing well, and that makes me the happiest. Alexis, your vibe is really wonderful, I'm definately gonna stick around.

This is so true! It only took me 6 months to monetize my food and travel channel, but boy, it was a rough time just seeing my videos not getting views despite how much time I poured into it. You say everything really well and capture the right feel for small KZbinrs when starting out. It's not easy but if you love creating content and help people in your own ways, it is just so rewarding! KZbin recommended this one video but it was enough for me to like your simple and honest style. I wish you success in the future. You have inspired me to make a video just like this telling others about my journey too. For other small KZbinrs, please don't give up! Just post at least 1 video a week. That's it! Improve each time and success will come. I promise you!

You may want to experiment with a few more financial-related topics (as part of your normal life as you did here) and see if you can get higher CPM on those videos. Some of my videos are getting CPM's of over $50 which is a huge boost to offset my lower viewed videos. However, I got a long ways to go before I hit your 9K subscriber mark. I have not yet gotten a full month's of data but I am looking forward to what my first 30-days of data & revenue will look like. Great video!

I probably never will get to where you are right now, but that's OK. I'm doing it more for myself as anyone else. It's a very creative form of self expression that is very addictive. Hey Alexis, thank you so much for sharing this. I'm about 4 months into my channel and was having so much trouble finding someones journey more akin to mine. It's really helpful and encouraging to see. I'm so proud of you for sticking it out and so excited to watch more of your videos. Excited to connect more. Cheering you on

So much decorating and reorganizing you can do in a studio apartment. The idea of living in Manhattan appeals to your viewers. What about the challenges of living in a small space in an ultra expensive city. How do you stretch your dollars? How hard is it to find affordable places? What’s it like living in a space with limited views & limited fresh air? How do you adjust to the street noise? Just throwing out some ideas… 😁

I totally agree! I think if she made vlogs of how much it costs her to live in New York, a lot of people would be interested! Or even posting her favorite things to do or favorite views of the city, just stuff like that! Which could also be turned into tiktoks which could attract more attention to her as a creator!

yes these are all great ideas! I will touch on these more in future videos

This was hands down the best video I have seen about how a normal person has grown on KZbin. Thank you for making it!

*Your absolutely killing it I'd love to be at this point at some point soon I've just recently got monetised and its coming up to 6 months and I'm just under £1000 which is nuts to me because I never imagined I could get paid for doing something I enjoy because of the internet* Keep up the great work just subbed ☺

@Darcie Girl Oh Darcie your so funny haha but your stating nothing but facts so I can't fault you good thing I've got more than one KZbin account if you simply cared to check your facts before just assuming you'd have seen that my other channel is connected to this one bless you @journeytomydreamcars

Wow, this is my first time on your channel, and I'm loving your content already. Thanks for being so transparent and sharing the details of your journey with us. I can totally relate cause it's been a little over a year since I started and am yet to be monetized, but I believe I will get there very soon with hard work and determination. I love your personality BTW. 💖

The apartment series is what attracted me to your channel. I loved it and couldn’t wait for the next installment/chapter. I was almost disappointed when you found a place and that was over!! Congratulations- I enjoy your channel very much.

Congratulations! There are thousands of channels on YT that never get monetized. Personally I am a theatre geek so content about your auditions and classes would interest me. Also your thoughts about plays that you see. How do you get tickets? What are the different theatres like? Agree with other comments about life in New York in general. Compared to my small town in Canada 🇨🇦 it's fascinating. This video was interesting. Have you done anything special with the money from YT?
@alexiseldredge2 жыл бұрын
thank you! I will definitely keep incorporating more theatre content! and honestly by money has gone toward bills and dance classes haha

Love how you keep it real! I started in May this year, and gained 185 subscribers. I enjoy the whole process, yet I find it that I struggle to allocate my time effectively. How do you manage that? Anyone any tips?

This was so helpful, I am in the beginning stage of my channel with 524 subscribers and I am at that stage where I am searching up other youtubers growth and comparing. This was the most helpful and relevant to my channel so Thank you!!

13:27 Agreed. Getting monetized isn't the goal. You probably shouldn't have goals on KZbin. You have to think in terms of everything being endless. Getting an endless amount of views and watch hours per month. It's about the process. It's more healthy to think that way. Thanks for sharing by the way. You're very charismatic and you can tell a good story. Double down on that.

This is soo realistic! Even tho getting those first 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours seems so so so far away for me right now, and feels like I’m never gonna be able to reach that goal but with each video i post , I am getting a little hope “mabye one day” It will take a lot of patience, time and consistency, but I can't wait to feel that feeling she described when she got her first pay check…. “Maybe one day”🥺
