@@billcaan4192 we have to try to be wise when we advise. Generally someone will listen to advice and receive it happily if you have a relationship with them. Once you've established a relationship where you've had positive interactions, then when a situation arises you can take them aside and privately share, "hey I'm not trying to be bossy, you know I only say this so I can stand in front of Allah with a clear conscience..." and then share the evidence from Quran or sunnah and also share action points to help them with obeying a command or stopping something haram they're doing

How is it possible, almost everyone in the comments eat all meat except no pork. I live in the Netherlands which is a western country. I was born and raised there, my parents were born in Morocco. I see everyone reacting that they eat all meat except pork because they live in a western country. I don't know about you but we have plenty halal restaurants and halal shops in the Netherlands where they sell halal meat. I could never eat chicken or meat from a supermarket that hasn't been zabiha slaughtered.

I actually live in a town that has no halal options (not a one). Most of the time I do shop local and cook at home. So I do eat out at times, but I try my best to be cautious. I do order halal items as much as I can budget for on-line.

Ugh where do you get all this information. I’m a vegetarian, us and many agree halal is barbaric for no reason other than being cruel. Similar to a sacrifice. Our animals are stunned out of consciousness before any cuts are made.

And we actually believe that the western way of killing the animal is barberic, we don’t find it okay to beat an animal out of consciousness because then it is scared and very tense and still suffers from getting beat, rather we lay them down very gently and recite Quran until it is calm and ready to surrender. The animal dies peacefully and willingly, the same way it would in its natural habitat if it was to be hunted down by a stronger animal. Also it is fair to add that Muslims actually don’t eat a lot of meat, it is prescribed for us to sacrifice an animal on the holy day of Eïd, which is 2x a year, and when a child is born. So there isn’t any « mass killing » all year round like you can witness in slaughter houses where animals are killed non stop and in immense amounts of pain, you can actually here the animals crying and it’s sad because a lot are also being killed for nothing because there is lots of waste. You can easily find videos of an ethical Islamic slaughter on KZbin

But when your beating his head and then killing it, well it suffered and then dies… because beating the animal isn’t killing it, it just hurts 🤷🏽‍♀️ So if you don’t want the animal to suffer just kill him immediately. And causing pain for absolutely no reason at all is barbaric. Beating it won’t change the finality apart from the animal having a very painful death I mean I don’t know would you rather get beat and then die or just die ? 😂

On the other hand just because you calm an animal before cutting it's throat doesn't mean it won't feel very strong agony for 15-30 seconds while bleeding out.

@Super Mario It is handcut Humane halal way of slaughtering an animal. Non zabiha is slightly different Because a mechanical knife is used. The process is automated with a muslim person pressing the button of the knife and saying the Islamic ritual. Both are halal, but the first one is more authentic and better. Chick fil a doesn't follow either of this. Majority of the meat in America is cut the secular way. We need to realize America is a secular country. Allah’s name has to be recited at the time of slaughter and the method of slaughter is very specific for meat to be considered zabiha halal. Not every chicken or cow is acceptable to eat unless it was slaughtered properly

Tbh if I had the option I would eat only halal, the thing is I am still quite young and all my mum cooks is non-zabiha so I basically don’t have an option, I tried talking to her abt it once but she said that I should trust her and that she saw a sheikh abt it, my other excuse are the halal options in my area are VERY LIMITED so I can barely find a restaurant with halal food , I always try to eat from the vegetarian menus when I’m in a restaurant but sometimes there’s actually nothing I can do , any tips that may be used would be REALLY appreciated.

Everywhere in Europe and America kosher meet is available. If you really want it you find it. Halal is not easy available but the kosher is and we are allowed to eat the kosher and the food which is permissible for jews.

Well theres a difference of opinion and many proof that you can eat from people of the book. And honestly sometimes I prefer organic free range over something from my local halal shop that has been pumped with water and protein to increase the weight, and also has blood and burn marks, where the animal was tied or chicken that had its legs broken while alive.. because I dont class that has *Halal*! But those who dont know you and think they can wobble on upto you to ask what you're eating, nah that's shitty. A woman once tried to shame me for eating a burger and even roped the employees in by asking them loudly "Is this halal?" She wasnt wearing a hijab, so I couldve exchanged blows if I wanted to be as petty and judgy as her.. people are too hung upon what others are doing and one up man-ship

Eating non Halal meat is the same as having Pork, and drinking alcohol. No you are wrong. Scholars have said its permissible to eat meat from the people of the book. If you are sure that they don't slaughter or they slaughter in the name of someone other than Allah, Then you cant eat. Otherwise its permissible

I do not know where you live. I live in the Netherlands there are plenty of restaurants here that serve halal food. Turkisch, Maroccan and a lot of different cultures. You have to search well. When I go to a non-halal restaurant I usually take fish or something vegetarian.

Zabiha mean hand slaughter according to Islamic law. Halal suppose to be zabiha but many muslims especially Arabs now a days wrongly think all meat is halal except pork which is actually forbidden to eat.
