So basically flashgaurds for snipers and semi autos. And suppressors for automatic guns for stealth. And yes I do see a partial concealment being good because for me as long as I fire only when needed (I play stealthy so I like to fire a couple head shots and stay hidden, I don't like to be aggressive when I don't need to) then I'm good and no one will find me. Also it doesn't crap on your aim down sight time which Is crucial in 1v1s

I feel like partial muzzle flash concealment attachments could be useful on single shot weapons, like shotguns and snipers, where you don't want to deal with the downsides of a suppressor, but the reduced time on the map can help, especially cause it's single shot. Full auto weapons I don't see the benefit, though, as if you're shooting for a bit, you'll already be on the map for a good amount of time anyway unless it's fully suppressed.

The moment you put one on, it then hinders you. In real life the way it works wouldn't be so bad. In a game like this where you need to be aware of your peripheral vision, it's a problem

Only thing keeping me from using them too often is that your gun is still just as loud, and that alone will get people to know where you are in most cases. The light reduction is something I didn’t know about. I can see it being useful for snipers but that’s about it.

The Flashguard 5.56 on the Stoner 63 helped me out a lot with first person muzzle flash, especially when using iron sights; it redirects the flash away from the center of your sight picture. Very cool that they added benefits to minimap concealment as well.

Coming from battlefield my first thought was that the main function of a flash hider is to hide your muzzle flash so you don't draw attention especially at a distance, without using a suppressor. A very useful part of it is to not give away your position when you're shooting through smoke. When there's smoke, if you spray, enemies will just shoot at your muzzle flash and kill you; if you don't spray, enemies will rush you. Not sure how this looks in this game.

I think the benefit is on shotguns *and possibly snipers- it will largely keep you off the radar without reducing your effective damage range. If you are not spraying then a lot of people will not spot you,

I like that extra detail of it not lighting up the room as much. They could have been lazy & just cut corners with it but alongside it from a visual stand point it's just nice. Does it really matter in gameplay? Probably not.

I could see it helping in certain situations where your peeking out of a dark corner or window. It may take your enemy a few extra milliseconds to acquire you which is everything in these sweaty lobbies

as good as it is to stay off radar, i have astro headsets and let me tell you...in this game, you can hear the direction someone is shooting. most the time when someone is shooting with a suppressor, i can hear if its in front, behind, left or right of me, and all i have to do is look at my mini map, and can make educated guesses based on what played out or can anticipate an enemy/hunt them down. So ive honestly just not ran suppressors anymore, id rather get my full damage range.

I’ve always enjoyed the quiet of suppressors, and it helps thwart players who just stare at the minimap all day. Flash concealment doesn’t have much bearing now, even in hardcore. I could see it potentially being useful in a future “Night Ops” variant like in MW while wearing NVG’s etc. but beyond that... meh. Great video as always Ace 🍻

I believe mfc is for use with single shot guns like dmr/snipers or shotguns with slugs not epanaleptic or automatic guns. I used to completely ignore the attachment on MW but it's actually useful.

I have a 90% attachment on one of my Combined Arms loadouts, just so I don't lose bullet velocity. I've found that it hasn't really made a difference in enemies finding me so far, but I do feel the difference in landing shots. In 6v6, though, it might make more sense to go all in on a suppressor

Flashhiders are recoil attachments in MW. They reduce the bullet deviation on your gun if I'm not mistaken, so your bullets will follow a straighter path, instead of bouncing too far to the right or left of the target

Good video but you failed to mention the audible difference. I think one of the major advantages of the supressor is that people cannot hear where you're shooting from that well. Especially in HC, where the map is not always shown this is very advantageous.

You might as well use a suppressor at that point as it doesn't impare you vision while ADS (aiming down sights) and conceals your location on the mini map 100% of the time which is more than a flash guard reduction attachment.

Two things: 1. I'm not sure how it works with muzzle flash attachments equipped, but the flash might actually intensify based on your scope. Noticed that when I put a 2x on the Stoner, also there could definitely be variations there weapon-wise, but it's still possible your optics can affect how much visual muzzle flash your gun puts out without and potentially with muzzle flash attachments aside from suppressors. 2. I noticed in game I was peeking a very well hidden spot while shooting and then a guy comes in to my vision and downs me instantly. I was left wondering how he saw me so quickly as i was well hidden so i watched the kill cam and there was a huge orange burst coming from my gun that made me super easy to spot. (The spot I was in was dark so the orange created a high contrast) I guess the suppressor would have eliminated this orange burst and the guy wouldn't have seen me or at least it would have taken him longer in which time I could've taken him out instead. Thats just another valuable asset to flash concealment is making it harder for an enemy to pick you out while you are taking up a well hidden/protected position.

Most people are either going loud and proud or completely silenced. MAYBE you might see someone use the flash hider that also gives you vertical recoil control, but reduced muzzle flash on its own isn't enough to waste a slot on.

I'm not entirely sure what it is or if it's a glitch but I've noticed sometimes I'll see a red dot displayed as ground level but they may be a level higher or lower than I thought rather than showing the arrow up or down based on what floor level they're located. Just thinking about it, I think it's either because of muzzle flash concealment or possible a field mic just giving you a general location. Have you noticed this also?

Just wanted to give a pointer. Flash hiders don't do much and aren't worth it on fully automatic weaponry or semi autos with a high ish fire rate cap. Most of the time you'll be shooting faster than the dot will disappear which will refresh the duration of the dot making. Suppressors are better for fast fire rate. I'd only use flash hiders on snipers or shotguns and maybe the magnum. Otherwise they don't do much.

I would think maybe the gun is quieter depending on the muzzle attachment, as in say, if it’s 85% muzzle concealment then why not let it be a proximity thing? Like the closer you get to someone when you reach a specific range you DO show up on radar. That would be too genius for Treyarch tho :P

For some reason whenever I put a full suppressor on my gun it just goes to shit, and I can't kill anything. I've switched to using the 90% concealment attachments because it goes away so quickly you have to be staring at the mini map as I'm shooting to see it, I think it's strong enough to combat most things and my gun doesn't feel like garbage when using it

I've seen some people on the minimap that glow a dark faded color, what is that? They still show on the radar, but it's very faded. Is that possibly someone using Ghost that's stationary? Could you possibly do a breakdown of Ghost?
