I went to a few jazz gym sessions with Jayden, and he was great, slowed down and conceptualized everything for me. Now I know his brain & chops are only challenged by his actual muscles.

@Aaron Congratulations: Award for dumbest and most misinformed comment of 2022. You literally have no idea what you're talking about. His legs aren't fat: he has muscular legs; they're big. He doesn't have a gut: he's lean. Like, what!? Taking supplements helps a little bit with muscle development if you're working out consistently, but not much. You can't be "on supplements". Are you "on" chicken breast and "on" coffee? The idea that if someone is lazy, doesn't work out, and drinks all day they can look jacked because "they're on supplements" is some of the dumbest sh*t I've ever heard. If they look jacked, it's because they are, and they've put in work in the gym. Take all the supplements you want bud, but you're not going to look like Jayden without working out a LOT. Actually, take all the STEROIDS you want and you *still* won't look like Jayden without putting in hard work in the gym. Again... supplements don't make you "look jacked". Does eating chicken breast every day make you jacked? Nope. There's no difference between eating protein powder every day or eating chicken breast every day. It's protein for your body. Supplements are called that for a reason: they supplement your diet. You literally believe that if someone eats chicken breast all day (no different than protein powder), takes multivitamins, and pre-workout before going to work, they're magically going to look jacked? Obviously that's not the case. You are seriously, horribly, and terribly misinformed. There *is* a conversation to be had on bodybuilding vs. functional workouts: one will lead to more hypertrophy (the scientific term for muscle gain) and one will lead to less, but more functional results for sports, etc. Please, please, please, please, please let this be a lesson to not make comments on things you are wholly unaware about. It's really annoying and makes you look really, really, stupid. I've done it before and learned from it. Reading your comment(s) basically gave my brain an aneurysm. I hope my 15 minutes wasted replying to you will encourage you to research something before talking about it, acting all high and mightly like you know what you're talking about. Good day.

kind of crazy how close jayden's story aligns with mine. i started on clarinet, played for about 5 years, i still do and i don't really like it :(. i picked up the alto sax for the alto 2 part in my school jazz band, which was mny first ever experience with jazz. to quote jayden, i haven't looked back, and i now main tenor saxophone. looking forward to the road ahead; thanks for all your vids mr. lb!

Absolutely love the material! As a young musician I was taught several of these concepts in a similar way, but the way you make connections between concepts really ties everything together fantastically…thank you! I’m curious, have you considered putting together a list of the top 30 solos to transcribe or something like that? I’d love to hear your take on that!
