I don't understand how few people call her grandma rude, guys look at her grandma she is old and still cooking,in asia most of grandma's at her age give up on everything and seek younger ones help, since families stay together with kids ,no seperation after turning 18 like US or UK . Also she let's her film videos while she cooks so much with such precision, how many of our grandmothers do that?? Let's be for real,out of 100 only 20 people are lucky enough to have such grandma's, typical asian nature ,we do not do love and hugs or keep saying affectionate words constantly we get awkward,we just stick together with actions instead of words. It's common.

Ooooo. I grew up in a family where they aren't huggers either. You knew you were loved, but it wasn't demonstrated by hugs. Just care, smiles and food. I hugged my kids and now my teenage daughter hugs me and it feels great. Best hugs. Your grandma is adorable.

My grandma is like this, she doesn't really like hugs or affection, and she's super strict considering that they experienced wars back in her days. But she's been my Mom and Dad all through out my childhood and now, she's not affectionate but she's full from giving, and words. She's the cutest person and caring person ever in my life. My father would always eat a lot of the things she cooks so sometimes nothing much will be left for me, especially when it's anything vegetables or anything with tofu, so she would save like a whole bowl or two of dishes she's cooking and give it to me after everyone is done eating. In my senior year when i am doing homeworks on our kitchen table, she would get up around 11pm or twelve and ask if i want to eat something cause sometimes i'll be sitting there until the sun rises, she'll pull out some snacks or cook something for me, and we would talk for hours about anything from her past or our family. She never left me starving not even once, she never let me feeling like there wasn't enough of anything, no matter how small of a something she has, she always has ways to make it bigger. In our family i became the kind of favorite of her because i would stay with her when nobody else does, i love her like my own Mom and Dad, and nothing that i can do will repay her sacrifices for me. Even now that i'm turning 20, i was still like a baby for her. Sometimes the sweetest person can be hiding in the toughest exterior.❤

Something about Asian/ Pacific Islander grandparents- they NEVER let you go hungry and enjoy being in the kitchen. My grandpa was Filipino and was always throwing down in the kitchen. The man had food readily available like Lumpia, pancit, and his delicious chicken adobo to name a few. I miss him and his cooking. It was his love language. Watching your videos brings me back to a happy time in my childhood. Always cherish your grandparents ❤

My great grandmother is 96 this year but she still cooks whenever I visit her although she needs a walker and has memory loss. My grandmother also does the same and she says she still cooks for me is becos when she turns older, she won't be able to cook for me anymore and wants me to enjoy for now. This is their way of showing love and they are most happy when they do it, I've not heard a single complaint from my grandmother or great grandmother when cooking
