I am such a fan of the categories, rather than specific patterns or even fabrics. I'm seriously considering this for next year now after years of being uninterested in the make 9. You achieved so much towards your ambitions last year. It's really impressive to see how much you've made with these 9 categories in mind. Wishing you a happy and healthy 2024!

It’s been so good for me! It also helped me prioritise what to make throughout the year when my head was buzzing with too many ideas. It was really helpful having a contained list of goals to come back to.

Hi Bri, they all look lovely and I love the way you styled them in the images. The yellow dress is gorgeous and I really like the black check a line skirt. I don't think it matters that you didn't tick every box as you made what was important to you and also what you feel comfy in, that is the main thing. ☺

Hi Bri, despite your health struggles, it looks like 2023 was a wonderfully creative year for you. I love your foray into separates and your black and white check dress with the fitted t shirts suit you so well. A line skirts definitely suit you as they give you a great shape. I think a panelled A line midi skirt (worn with boots) would also look fabulous on you. I have been experimenting with planning a winter and summer wardrobe and listing say 5 blouses - then if I only have 3 blouses that match the bottoms on that list - then sewing up the missing pieces. So far that has worked quite well. I had been trying out the concept of a capsule wardrobe - however have found that whilst it is great in theory, it is quite difficult for me to put in practice. I find it easier to instead say sew up a bottom, then sew up two blouses and a jacket that match that bottom. Thank you for sharing your journey with us and happy sewing.🌸

Thank you! I like that plan. For me the temptations with capsule wardrobe is that I start producing the things that seem to go best together more than the things I actually want or need in my wardrobe.

Interesting to see how you did, I also made a NICKS and had the exact same result, even though i do love BOHO, it just didn't work for me so I will take it apart and make a rhapsody. I think the Nicks just had too much fabric. The meg and mable looks great - so cute on you (despite the square skirt)

I just love your colour choices. Where do you fabric shop? I think the emerald Dawson top is my fav and I’d love to replicate it!

I try to put links to available fabrics in the description, so you can always check there. ☺️ The bamboo-cotton jersey is pretty widely available. I get it from textielstad since it’s based in the Netherlands and it’s cheapest, but depending where you live, Minerva might be a better option shipping wise. I’ve seen it at a few American shops as well. Look for a fibre content of 68% bamboo, 28% cotton, 4% elastane.

Hi, I’m interested in the alterations you made to the square neck pattern scout top…..was the band across the front too wide by any chance? It’s gaping on me but the rest of it fits so not sure what to do. I emailed her but got no response…do you have any idea? Please!

It wasn’t too wide for me (though I added a little elastic in my second version since my sewing machine is terrible about stretching out knits as it’s sewing). My alterations were with the shoulder width and length. I almost always need sloping and narrow shoulder adjustments on knit patterns. I wonder if you’d be able to feed a wedge of the bodice into the sleeve above the bust to pull it tighter so it doesn’t gape as much?

I hadn’t thought of doing it that way..I have narrow shoulders too….sometimes I have so many alterations to tops it makes my head spin….small high bust..29” but 34” bust so every top gaps! I’d actually given up on this top so I’ll take any help you can give ..thank you so much
