You should use that strat of putting the ritual at the bottom corner of the world, but have a base-looking defensive structure in the sky above it. if you have to do this again, built is so the vault is in the very corner of the world with bedrock and barriers directly behind you, that will increase the amount of wall you have for the same amount of material. Also it could be effective to do this in a biome like the end because your coords don't say which dimension the ritual takes place in
