To achieve these results you need the controller, correct? If only using the neo by itself would the nd filters matter? Freewell sells the 3 pack nd vs ndpl, would it make sense to by the ndpl?

Thanks for the comprehensive guide for the settings. It was great and helped me understand a bit more about the Neo. I just got some ND filters and they are pretty cool. I notice quite the difference in action shots. I find they work great especially on lower light days.

I recently learmed that in camera stabilization such as Rock Steady and Horizon leveling requires high shutter speeds to avoid the artifacts and aberation that occurs slow shutter speeds typical on Action Cameras. I think as long as you keep it off and use Gyro Flow in post you can have it all!

Thats right. Slower shutterspeeds for faster action required. Otherwise you will get ugly "vibration" via gyroflow respectively rocksteady in your footage. I use 60 fps with 1/120s shutterspeed. If i do slower flights like indoor for real estate clients, i set it to 30fps with 1/60s shutterspeed. Helps in darker enviroments too.

True, this is why Rocksteady fails in low-light conditions when it lowers frame rates.

yes, after all, in some circumstances nd-filters on the neo are a good idea. but there is one thing you have to know. the neo is a drone with only one axis gimbal. most of the image stabilisation in the neo was EIS (electronic image stabilisation). this kind of stabilisation don't work well on images with much motion blur, EIS needs sharp pictures. greetings from germany...

Dodge journey lookin good, give it a 2” drop kit 👍. Oh yeah, the nd filters really help. I’ve used them in the past on a true 35mm camera and always loved the results. Gonna get these filters for my osmo 2 and my Neo. Edit. Also looking at the anamorphic lens for the osmo. Edit 2. Wish it had a 24fps mode.

Keep it simple. ND filters are good, but I prefer to leave everything AUTO mode. All you need to do is apply the ND filter that lower your frame rate enough. If you film 30fps and your frame rate was in range of 120fps it would be hard to tell the difference. Best to try it for yourself and see the results. I normally only need to use 16/32 ND filters to achieve good results.

I don’t fly without some sort of filter on my Mavic 3 I imagine you can get away with only 3 or 4 filters and have a complete set probably be good with just 2 a CP and an nd/pl 8.

EVERYTHING for Neo be cheaper! Annual Care Refresh, a whopping $22. Nice bag, with room for Neo, 2 battery hubs, 6 batteries, Goggles 3, FPV Controller 3, Motion 3 (and ND Filters, lol) $25. Whats not to like? With Hover Pro/Pro Max, we just know DJI isn't going to let ZeroZero have the last word! DJI doesn't like competitors, well... competing! 😂

I recommend these to start with. Once you get the hang of ND Filters, then yes pL filters would be great.

Again trashing the camera on the cheapest DJI drone, unbelievable! most people who have the Neo are not influencers or pro videographers, its marketed at beginners in the hobby, why in the world would DJI put a pro camera on the cheapest drone. If people want better spend more to get more. I don’t own the Neo as I have the Avata 2, but for the money it’s a great drone for people coming into the hobby, and I’d fully recommend buying it.

I love the Neo too much and I have been practicing high speed flight with it with plenty of crashes, and barely any damages. If you know quadmovr, dude shows how insanely Neo can be flying with the motion controller. Idk why everything has to be about the camera quality when it can fly incredibly well for its weight.
