simple enough to understand, yes, but unfortunately doesn't explain in great detail. HOW does the electrical signal get turned into a chemical one? WHY does that enable the electrical signal to continue through the next neuron???
@Poetry4Peace3 жыл бұрын
@@chironOwlglass well I GUESS CUS ITS FOR BEGINNERS
@mathyourasmussen Жыл бұрын
@@chironOwlglass Good questions, Clay! Glad to see you are critically thinking. Hopefully you found the information to answer those questions, but if not, real quick: electrical turns into chemical by the increase/influx of positive ions into the end of the axon which signal the vesicles to bind to the cell membrane and release their contents which are neurotransmitters (NTs). The NTs are the chemicals. The NTs bind to the next neuron and if the NTs are excitatory, then the NTs will allow positive ions to rush into the neuron thus making the neuron more positive and more likely to reach the threshold of firing. It's essential to know the inside of a neuron when not firing is very negative in comparison to the outside fluid of the neuron and when the inside of a neuron reaches a particular voltage called the threshold, the neuron will fire. I obviously didn't describe everything, but I think this provides some details you were curious about.

but this raise another question why and on what parameters it is decided (or neurons decide) whether to pass message or shun it down? it appears to differentiate between artifical intelligence and cognitive intelligence. i mean my son can say that he is not interested in science and feels good about literature. but fortunately when i install cluster of neural network they train with same learning curve regardless of input knowledge.

@Starfish0.5 ай бұрын
Yes because they only talk about the body, the system, and consciousness is beyond that. We are not a body. The signals come from consciousness, that is temporary connected to the brain. The signals are light, electricity. We are light. The body is a temporary avatar.
