I love the IRS story. Haha Oh, and the backhanded slap at other Chinese cuisines at 4:20 by referring to them as hamburgers and hot dogs.

Great work on interesting and important history. However, the audio could probably be improved greatly without much difficulty. If you tell me about your setup I can probably help or even send you a microphone.

Your comment made me 😂 and 🙏 at the same time. I recently got the Audio-Technica ATR2100x-USB microphone but for the life of me cannot get it to even go higher in volume. I have been using OBS Studio to record, which I probably need to switch. Yes! I absolutely see the need to up my audio game. Thank you for pointing it out. I will make it happen with the next video!

@@AmericanChineseFoodShow You're doing fine. 99% of folks won't notice or care. But I'm an old dj and bedroom producer, so I can't help but notice audio quality. Just want to help with constructive criticism. 😄 Your setup is fine for 99% of users in this day of video conferencing with friends and family. However with your hard work researching and making videos as a historical record, I think your audio can be brought up to par fairly easily and cheaply today. I've not done heavy research in mics in a long while, but those all-in-one mics, especially at that price point generally all sound thin and brittle as an inherent limitation of the technology used. There is a lot of compromise squeezing everything into a microphone body. My preference is a separate mic and preamp. Much better quality can be achieved and parts can be easily upgraded or swapped out if broken. Although I've not used it, I would consider something like the M-Audio M-Track Duo - two channels in case you decide to do interviews or record in stereo and direct monitoring is very useful. It's cheap and made by a reputable and established company. My offer still stands to send you a mic for free, no strings attached. I have some mics in storage that have not been used in ages, and I'd much rather them be used by you than gathering dust in my closet. Just have to dig them out and do a little testing to see what will work best for you. Let me know if interested. Btw, do you have a nice, quiet place to record or do you have to deal with ambient noise (building and street sounds)?
