Nirvana is one of the most successful bands in the history of rock n' roll and popular music. Nirvana released three studio albums: Bleach (Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic, Chad Channing, Jack Endino), Nevermind (Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic, Dave Grohl, Butch Vig) & In Utero (Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic, Dave Grohl, Steve Albini, Scott Litt), as well several live albums such as MTV Unplugged, From the Muddy Banks of the Wishkah, Live at Reading, a compilation album Incesticide, two EPs (Blew, Hormoaning), and various other releases. I've been wondering if the guitars nirvana smashed at the concerts were prepared to break easily. If you ever tried to smash a guitar it's pretty hard to break the body

I have no firsthand knowledge but i would highly doubt they were “prepared” to break easily. Just my opinion. Ive digested a lot of their live stuff and they never seemed to break easily or totally in a lot if cases

@@smizdeazy I know that fender at one point supplied them with cheaper Japanese models because they'd be smashed anyways. Maybe they weren't modified, maybe Fender gave them guitars that were just trash

@@standinsilence I tried smashing a Strat copy and besides the neck the body wouldn't break. There is also footage of Kurt throwing his Jaguar around and it never broke.
