I went at the E4 and cynthia with 5 mons 30 full restores 40 revives, and the only reason i beat the garchomp was swapping in intimidate luxray and earth quake avoiding vespiqueen...I won the fight with 6 revives left...when it comes to fighting Cynthia there are no noob strats, its about survival not victory.

Went into the Elite 4 on Platinum for the first time with a heavily under leveled team. By Cynthia my highest lv Pokemon was Torterra at lv 50. I had 99 Revives, 99 Hyper potions, and 99 full heals I had 52-56 Revives at Cynthia, and end with less then 6... Never again.

Garchomp was the easiest one for me to take down. It immediately took damage from stealth rock, then I sent out an absol (that I only caught to catch the lake legends) and used perish song. Then I switch to Gravler and spammed max potions until the perish count fell to 0. That full restore will not save you, Cynthia.

All you need is weavile, togekiss and snorlax. Weavile togekiss handle whole team use snorlax to stall snake till low pp then go back Weavile kill garchomp ggwp this may take 5 tries but at least you didn’t have to over lvl. (This involves no potions) this start manipulates a switch into Garchomp!

The the set I have been using since gen 4 came out Blissey was 1st pokemon I EV trained in gen 3 when I 1st learned how to got lots of 6 -0 with her back then (was same set but with tbolt then because charge beam was gen 5 move) If she as serene grace she would be prefect. Happy to see her getting out side of stall Almost killed a shiny 1 in my Ultra sun did not see the sparkles looked at her for like 10 minutes because I thought her colour off (pink to 1% less pink great shiny no1 would kill by mistake lol)

@@richard35791 she as a full team so u can charge beam(if ability was grace 100% boost)on mons before get some sp atk boosts then sweep teams with that set (been using that set for over 15 years to sweep & have tanked chomp earthquake then 1 shot many times online after boosting on its teammates) & if blissey as good Def & hp training can tank none boosted earthquake from chomp easy at the same or lower level . 1)There is no cheating in EV training 2)u do not have to be faster to kill chomp just able to take a hit (the case I gave had blissey out & boosted before chomp so no saying if it used SD would be K.O. 3)blissey has soft-boiled so no items needed let alone useless x-items 4)this is just a tip for all saying blissey as 10 base Def (def would 15 at level 50) full IV is 30 Def then full EV is 32 .that is 62 the damage formula, makes her take 1/4 the damage of her base stats if perfect (this is all stats at level 50).in short it 4 times bulkier than it should have been if she not perfect but well train still 2-3 times bulkier. I killed chomp in 2 hits with floatzel was jolly (got lucky) ,had good EVs in atk & speed(I normally run from none needed EV pokemon in my normal runs but i battle all trainers)& was level 65 so no over leveling (level 62 at start of league chomp was level 66) .ice fang flinch ,ice fang win (no items nor cheats beat chomp easy ) that is not to say it was not hard fight lost 3 mons (most faints ever this run) but none to chomp I have great RNG luck had to say before all the u got lucky comments I normally get lots of hate for that luck.(won lots of games I had no right winning)

I did something similar to this except I was stuck on her Milotic for like 20 minutes no joke. I didn't have an Electric type so my only option was to eventually out-stall her Milotic with Bronzong and Light Screen while chipping away at her health with Psychic hoping for Sp.Def drops. When her Milotic was all out of moves except for Mirror Coat, I revived my Gyarados used 6 Dragon Dances (didn't want to take any chances) and swept the rest of her team since I had only taken out her Spiritomb and Gastrodon at that point. With that; I beat Cynthia on my first try whilst I was 5 levels lower than her Garchomp.

Ima be honest, I used yawn hippowdon for half of the team and I used endeavor/ quick attack Staraptor for the other half. It was hard but what really grinded my gears is when flint’s last Pokémon turned to be driftblim because I killed infernape first. I have never fought anything more annoying than a stalling, non attacking, npc, using minimize, strength sap and will o wisp. I stalled it out but I was in that battle for 20 whole minutes playing hit the target on impossible mode

Our battle against Cynthia was kinda similar. Not only did I have an Infernape, Luxray, and Togekiss on my team, but I named my Luxray Simba too (tho he didn't have Intimidate)! And I used my Togekiss (named Appa) to beat her Garchomp too. And just like how Cable Affection Sashed against the Lucario, Appa did the same to a Swords Danced boosted Posion Jab (after being cut down to over half HP from a previous PJ, he should not have survived).

My experience: Cynthia had my team on the ropes. I only had my Lv. 64 Infernape (McKenzie) and my Lv. 59 Gyarados (Floppy) left, and I was faced against her Milotic with four others in the back. I only had 3 full restores and 1 revive left. As a last ditch effort, I spammed Dragon Dance and hoped for the best. Even with 4 boosts, crunch only got its health down to slightly above half. Her damn Milotic ate whatever I threw at her. The tides finally turned when I finally got defense drop. She healed up via full restore as I cronched, dealing over half damage. The rest was smooth sailing...except Garchomp. Between Floppy's (comparatively) low level and Garchomp's yache berry, Ice Fang wasn't enough to clean through it. Floppy had sustained enough damage for Garchomp's dragon claw to do the trick. McKenzie was the only one standin', and from the looks of it, all it took was a Fist Plate-boosted Mach Punch to take it home. "Champion Cynthia used a full restore!" Aw hell, here we go. Mach Punch didn't make as large of a dent as I had hoped. I used a revive to bring Floppy back from the Shadow Realm, but my monke had her damn earth quaked, so my inappropriately named monster snake had to come out sooner than expected. With Floppy's Intimidate, I was confident he could live at least one dragon claw... which he did. No setup, but Ice Fang was enough to take home the W. The EXP share made the game easier than it needed to be, but to offset it, I utilized the portable PC box thing super often, so I'm happy with the overall experience. It helped make the game a little harder for me, and it let me grow closer to each of my dudes (other unmentioned members include Avion/Staraptor, Roxy/Sneasel, Malvis/Garchomp, and Wolfgang/Lucario). Not the most conventional, and probably not my overall favorite (played one of every game except Sword/Shield), but I'd definitely play again.

I love how he says "that's the dumbest way anyone has ever beaten Cynthia" but I know he's wrong, when I did that battle I think I did well but there was one Pokémon I had to cheese, the milotic since my only counter to it was tortera and milotic had ice beam I had to heal stall it using full heals untill it ran out of pp for that move and somehow it never got a crit because it kept on leaving my 224 hp tortera on 14-36 hp, luckly my plan worked and after that I destroyed her whole team exept for garchomp, I needed the power of friendship for that one since I also had a garchomp I sent out mine as a plan to counter hers and used a swords dance when hers did, them we both used dragon claw but mine survived do to the power of friendship (for any who dont know it's aechsmic where crit chance, recovery from status effects, chance to doge are increased and your Pokémon gets a chance to survive a fatal move if there friendship is high enough) and killed hers

The best cheesy way to beat Garchomp is with a Togekiss and an Empoleon by just constantly switching between the two (it would use Poison Jab on Togekiss which Empoleon is immune to and Earthquake on Empoleon which Togekiss is immune to) for 10 turns until Garchomp is out of Earthquake PP and then kill it w two Ice Beams (one won't be enough bc of the damn yache berry its holding)

I got to her last place Pokemon, and my last Pokemon was Gengar. She got me with earthquake, but Gengar toughed it out, and used dazzling gleam. It did not kill the Garchomp and she hit earthquake again. At this point Gengar only had one HP and I thought I lost, but Gengar toughed it out again and finished Garchomp with dazzling gleam. Best possible victory 🙌

I didn’t struggle with not one single Pokémon at the Elite Four except for Cynthia’s Garchomp……that thing is a beast

I tried that intimidate move too, with Staraptor, and Sword Dance completely destroys that strat. LMAOOO So what I did was switch to fairy type so that she can use poison jab and switched to a steel type (she uses earthquake), switched to Staraptor to avoid earthquake (she uses dragon claw), switched to fairy type to avoid dragon claw. This was done until she ran out of PP. From there, the struggle was here. She used a full restore when I THOUGHT I was going to win. I just had to outlast her. Even then, I BARELY won. This was my first time battling Cynthia, EVER. I hadn't played the original Diamond/Pearl. I see the hype now lol

For Garchomp I had to bring a Bronzong precisely to set up Trick Room and Reflect so that I could actually do something to it. Beat her on the third try after Lucario swept me on my second try and Garchomp on my first. I didnt want to use too many revives/full restores so I tried to make the best team possible and I believe I used a revive and two full restores in the end.

Honestly the thing that helped me beat Cynthia was a Altaria with a quick claw and perish song. Never felt so unsafe in my life until I barked the champion of the Sinnoh region.

Used like 5 X-Defense, 46 Full Restores, 15 Max Revives, 21 Revives and 12 Revival Herbs, still lost. Had to train (plus EV train) a Weavile to lvl68 + Focus Sash (and came with Icicle Crash from an Underground catch) to kill that Garchomp.

I've seen a youtuber start with Togekiss which lures garchomp to use poison jab but switches to dialga (doesn't affects it) and lures earthquake and switches back to togekiss (doesn't affects it) until is stalls out of poison jabs and nothing can hit togekiss.

On the Pokémon before Garchomp I set up Trick Room and then threw in Palkia once previous Pokémon was K.Oed. Palkia One Shot it easy with Spacial Rend

I had two Pokémon left. I pulled out my Gyarados as she sent in Garchomp. My Gengar went in, which I had equipped with quick claw; I immediately used destiny bond and took the Garchomp to the grave with me when it one shotted an earthquake

Don't know about Palkia, but you can teach Dialga Shadow Ball to take out the spiritomb and give him enough carbos to outspeed the garchomp. Roar of Time is the way to go here. And have a grass type to take out the milotic and gastrodon. If you have an empoleon, you can teach him an ice move and use Surf against the lucario.

oh don’t worry i definitely cheesed my way to victory after she beat me TWICE. i didn’t have too much of a trouble with her milotic the first two times bc i had dusclops with hex to sorta negate the milotic’s marvel scale but for some reason, rng was not on my side the third time and she switched out milotic mid battle. i had to stall out to the point where milotic ran out of moves and it could only use mirror coat or recover. i used this chance to completely revive and heal my team and it used struggle to KO itself. garchomp was relatively easy for me since my mamoswine tanked out its earthquake and i used blizzard twice. but thank god it didn’t use swords dance tho😮‍💨
