Absolutely superb, so refreshing to see people actually name waters. Great effort lads but I would of fished the pay lake, easy option. But great effort. Thanks for this, how do I get in touch?

Many thanks, it can be tough starting on the public venues and knowing where to go. Information is scarce or wrong. Email me if you like brooksriddim@hotmail.com

they're all stocked just like pay lakes by the fishing agency for the region

@@HARDYSFISHINGADVENTURES actually that is a very wild assumption, rivers in flood help carp migrate with the lakes all around Europe, they also naturally reproduce in untamed left alone fisheries

Nothing wrong there. A great video and those canal fish were in A1 condition. Great stuff.

@@carpthing I fished that Lac Des Vieilles Forges many years ago. I had forgotten all about the place. Looked it up on Google earth. I fished the dam end, right up close to the dam and blanked. I can't for the life of me understand why. Those public places get the life thrashed out of them though. I did like that canal fishing though. Right up my street.

@@johngreen6191 I'm hoping to fish forges next autumn. I like the fact the night zone covers most of the lake. We got a bit lucky stumbling on that spot at the canal as the carp were definitely liking the outflow because of high water levels.

@@carpthing I used to like to fish public waters. To be honest it did not bother me too much about night fishing because on very big waters the fish were somewhere else. If no night fishing then reel in and start again in the morning. Best to fish where they are than 100's of yards away. Both me and a pal both caught the same fish on the same trip. It was a big fish I suppose and very distinguishable. It could never be confused with another. Well blow me down if this fish didn't turn up in a commercial fishery some 100's miles away. I can't mention any names but I made sure he was well known over there in France. That incident put me off a bit, can't stand cheats and thieves.

@@johngreen6191 That's some good advice to take a mobile approach. I suppose until you get on them, everyday is a new session. Believe you me, that trip was made tough with doing just that. Next time I want to try and settle on a big lac and experience that kind of fishing. Already missing the adventure of the public lakes it definitely has its own appeal. Hopefully the days of moving big fish are over in France. But I guess greed will always be there with some private lake owners.

I know, the banks were a lot steeper than it shows was hard to get to the waters edge.
