How NOT to make a Delrin replacement lead nut for mill - 30 April 2024

Since I had a lot of backlash on my Y axis on the mill, I thought I would have a go at making a replacement Delrin lead nut - following others other who have attempted this before - Part 1

I have a small Proxxon MF70 mill. This is equipped by the manufacture with Delrin/nylon lead screw nuts on all axes. No backlash at all!

I was not successful with making the Delrin lead nut this time .. will attempt again
