Yeah College Station is must win period end of discussion. There is no reason to get excited for a playoff or Natty run if you can't win that game. It's that simple. You win that game then my thoughts are that it's possible.

Nobody seems to notice.. 2nd n 3rd place conf teams gonna hav 3-4losses.. they finally play decent schedules with realignment.. 11-1 ND gets a 5-8 seed. Underestimating new conf & schedule. Could be NO undefeated conf Champs..

To win the ND defense may have to take over the game. Mike Goolsby said that is what the teams did that he was on, more than once. The real strength of the team this year is on defense. 5:19

It starts with the QB. We have to have a top 3 QB before we can even start the talk. Then shut down D. Keep recruiting like we have and we can get there.

Life Long ND Fan. 10-2 Absolutely does not make the playoffs. 11-1 only if the one loss is Ta&m or FSU if they're a top 10 team. USC is too late in the season and probably won't be a top 20 team. But with the way Freeman has been making improvements, and a schedule that is the weakest I've seen in a long time. 12-0 is not a stretch for this season. Not Quite a Natty team just yet, but might get 1 or 2 games in the playoff, depending on match up. Notre Dame is O-line and Tight End U, I'm not worried about the next men in. We'll be fiine. Denbrock should be the deciding factor here. Last year's offense had the potential to do so much more, I think the poor OC hire handi-capped them. This year should be different. And the Defense is what should really shine, you mentioned Watts, but Benjamin Morrison is a Top 3 DB. This first game will be the toughest, because of of the tangibles, it makes or breaks the season. If it makes men out of them and they fight with everything they have and pull it off, the rest of the season should come pretty business as usual until at least the first or second round of the playoffs. I'm not saying that FSU, USC, Lville, GT, will be easy, but because of this first game, they will know that they can overcome anything and fight thorugh it together. Again, not a Natty year, but I believe Freeman has them going in the right direction. And he's learning from and correcting his mistakes. Go Irish.

I agree at 10-2 our IRISH will not make the playoff… 11-1 will! Truth is they need to win EVERY GAME and DOMINATE! It’s time… also the all white uniforms against Clemson last year were awful!!! Only 4 schools should wear all white on the road… Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma and Penn State… that’s it, not even Auburn… GO IRISH ☘️🏈💪🏼

I understand why ND still plays Navy. And Kuddos to the University for honoring what the service academy did for ND. However Id love to see ND drop the annual matchup. It’s a lose lose for our beloved Irish.

Doubtful they win it all in 24. They don’t have a National Championship roster at this point. I honestly don’t see a National Championship being realistic until maybe Duece Knight is starting, assuming of course recruiting stays consistent at the level it has been. Duece gives the offense the best possible chance of being explosive enough to take down the very best teams. Again, this is assuming recruiting stays strong and the defense continues to be really good
