brilliant video, akshon esports again and again with the huge plays (csgo reference), thanks so much for what you guys have been doing for the community since apex season 1.
@dmar36516 жыл бұрын
Actually, the answer is Mano. The casual viewer will be thinking that Pine carried the team hard. But if you look closely, you'll see that it was in fact Mano who enabled Pine to do his job, and allowed the supports to pocket him when needed because Mano himself simply wasn't taking unnecessary damage, WHILE creating space. Mano is, in my honest opinion, the best 9/10 player in the world at his role. What does that mean? It mean's that his Reinhardt/Winston/Orisa are ALL at an equal level and no role is weaker than the other. He is the LEAST flashy main tank in the league....but he is undoubtedly the most reliable when push comes to shove. I'd say he is the 'enabler' tank who puts his team on his shoulders and lifts them up so that they can perform to greatness.
@dkc486 жыл бұрын
I've actually noticed that because NYXL is a lock for the season playoffs, they're actually using Janus for the first two maps against weaker teams to get him up to speed with the rest of the team. They're nowhere near as good and actually lose quite a bit. But after halftime, Mano will come back in, create space, and simply be a better main tank, and that's when the turnarounds happen. With Mano in the lineup, the NYXL are very much the best team in the league. Going back and analyzing the past few games, I even believe that they would've won the Boston game had they had Mano in the entire time. I think they didn't realize that Boston was THAT good and starting off 0-2 in the map differential with Janus in was a huge handicap for them. Mano came in the second half and they had a chance to reverse sweep, but Boston is actually good enough to win the remaining 1 out of 3. If he was in the entire time, I think NYXL rough out a win with 5 actual chances.
@vulcan11836 жыл бұрын
Pine is overrated
@dmar36516 жыл бұрын
@DKC48 you are Dead On. Mano is the tank that NYXL fall back on when their backs are to the wall. Yet you compare him to Janus, and you see that Janus is the aggressive fragger tank. Mano will almost NEVER shine in the spotlight, but he selflessly puts his body on the line to ensure that players like SBB, Pine, Libero, Jjonak and even Meko at times, all shine bright.
@dmar36516 жыл бұрын
@Hades Kray, I don't think he is overrated. However he is Risky as all hell
@babysealclub116 жыл бұрын
Agree... Once again the DPS shine and the tanks get tossed aside like they don't do shit. Personally I think tank and healer are the most difficult roles to play. They may not be super technical but the decision making is more high IQ in working as a team. Its a team game after all.

NY Excelsior are the only Team out of the 3 original Juggernauts that are still standing strong and holding their Juggernaut title. Seoul and London are collapsing and the Middle teams are taking the reins. I'd say that the new 3 Juggernaut rankings are: 1. NYXL 2. Boston Uprising 3. LA Valiant/Philly Fusion. I love the Glads, but I think they need to be just a bit more consistent to be considered for a Juggernaut position.

It wasn’t the “wrong dive” philly chose. In fact, it’s nearly impossible to dive widow in this scenario. What should the tanks do, wait to counterdive or go for a target? They can’t dive widow bc in this map in particular, the map geometry is on widows side. It’s litterslly a death trap. You dive widow, she will hook away, and Winston loses his leap cool down. This results in both tanks doing deep dives for death. you would have been correct if this was dive meta but it honestly isn’t. They know very well on how to counter each other, and deep diving would result in death. Zen was the right dive, not enough follow up on the Zenyatta.
