Oh man, I felt so bad for Colette when Shay talked about their fight. I feel it was very embarrassing for her to share that story with the vlog. I know, it's ultimately Shay's decision on what he wants to put in the vlogs, but she didn't want to talk about it and that was a bit TMI. But you were a great sport for both the fight story and the concert story Colette, I'm glad you're strong enough to not let those things bring you down too much and talk about these things

One day before the bet was finish was such a big deal to Shay, i mean come on...Instead of being proud of his son and allowing him to open it early to show his sign of full pride and excitement, he fights about such a small deal, i get that it teaches Sontard a lesson to be patient and be commited with a strong willpower but one day before the bet hurt him? Please don't misunderstand, I don't mean to be negative towards Shay in anyway or be disrespectful to him, but I just personally felt (from the outside looking in) that this vlog had some negativity towards Colette that I felt was unnecessary. I'm sure no one meant to hurt anyone's feelings, but I just felt bad for Colette. I have no doubt of those two's love at all. They're one of the strongest couples I've ever seen, in both their friendship and marriage

*Colette, don't be too hard on yourself, even superwoman makes mistakes!* You do so much as a mother and wife, you raise 5 beautiful smart children, you take care of household chores with minimal help, you cook and clean, you're packing everything up to move, you tend to Shay's needs, and you do the mom's view and your own channel. I'm sure Shay acknowledges and appreciates the many contributions you bring to the family, so don't worry when mishaps happen! And Shay you better appreciate her or us viewers will come over there and slap the stupid out of you :)

I agree, she NEVER has any time to herself. I don't think that is healthy, but it's her life. There is no way she can do it all. When she tries to exercise she has the kids, when she goes shopping she has the kids. When she is cooking or cleaning she has the kids. Wherever she goes she has her kids. Then there are the times when Shay is out of town, or the kids have to go to after school classes and Boy Scouts and the Maker Studio shoots all with kids in tow. A few videos ago she was happy shopping by herself with no kids or hubby. She was enjoying the peace and quiet. No one can work 24/7 -365 and never get any time to themselves and expect not to forget things. I know we only see a small portion of their day but she is AWAYS doing something. Even if she is sitting down watching tv, which is rare, she has to nurse the baby. It's too much, she needs a break even if it's just to get her nails or hair done WITHOUT the kids and Shay. Just Collette time. The kids are getting old enough where the should be able to prepare a meal and clean the kitchen at least once a week. Especially Gavin and Avia. Gavin, Avia and Emmi should have more chores other than cleaning their rooms. They are old enough to load the washer and dryer and put away their own clothing. If she doesn't want to start them with their clothes, towels are easy to wash and fold.

Lanie Wils lol wow you're so passionate about this. I don't think you need to worry about Colette, she is such a great trooper and being in this family and as Shay's wife, she has many blessings as well. Her life isn't just a painful lineup of tasks. Plus after they move to Idaho, they will get a lot of help from the grandparents and family. Furthermore, Avia does actually help out a lot with chores, cooking, and taking care of the baby. She doesn't do it all by herself. And she does get relax time by herself or sometimes with a few kids which maybe she prefers spending time with her family, when she gets to hang out with her sister Callie, or Candace. Go shopping by herself, she gets her nails done with Kayli, she has a spa day with the girls. You make it sound like her life is miserable lol that's not the case.

Aria C I'm glad she is going back to Idaho to get some help. I don't think she is miserable. I think she is a great mom and wife. I agree she does have a lot of blessings. I just think she is too busy and needs to take it easy once in a while. Sometimes you just need a break from everything. I'm a stay at home mom. I was just like Collette. It had gotten to the point where I did so much I didn't take care of myself. Kids pulling one way, hubby pulling another, job and extended family pulling also. You are taught to be this great mother, wife, homemaker. To put the needs of your family before yourself. I learned the hard way if you don't take time for yourself you can get sick. I was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, my body was telling me, take care of yourself. Put your feet up and relax. let someone else help you. You can't do it all yourself. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy taking care of my family but as a human you have to rest and have some time to just decompress. Shay does not show that in the videos. Collette is always doing, and sometimes you just need to rest. She is so young and she lost her mother young. I would not want that to happen to her.

But do take time out for yourself too :) It's important for our own sanity! But yes I think Colette will be getting a lot of helping hands once they get to Idaho so she can take it easy a bit. Hi shay, I liked your traffic speech and how everything you do affects on other people lifes but I think your perspective is rather negative. Yes, maybe someone breakup with his girlfriend because he was late but has it occured to you that maybe someone found the love of his life because he was stucked in traffic and saw her across the cars? It's interesting to see how others deal with arguements. My parents make their fights like world war III. They scream, throw things, break things, say hurtful things (like die, I hate you, and name call), and they even hit each other. My boyfriend and I have been together for almost four years, and the most we do is name call in our fights. We argue about things a lot which last like a minute, but luckily we don't fight a lot unless it's about something serious. He will call me a bitch, and when he does that I call him an asshole (but the name calling isn't in every fight) 'cause it hurts so I try to hurt him back. I know that's unhealthy but after we fight we apologize so much to each other, and try to make it up to each other. I say we only have big fights 1 every two-three months. SHAYTARDS I really admire this family and I have very high respect for Mr. Shay but after watching this video , this has greatly diminished my respect to you Mr. Shay Carl. I feel so bad for Colette. I just watch their videos but don't comment. This video really made me comment. In my own humble opinion, if somebody has made a mistake and has already owned up to it AND has already apologized for it, esp if he or she is your spouse then there is NO NEED to point it out again and make them own up to it again in front of millions of people and make them feel bad about it. For me, what Mr. Shay did is kind of pointing out mistakes(which she already apologized for) over and over again and sort of humiliating his wife is front of other people. Colette even said " I don't want to talk about this" but Mr. Shay still said "Come here! Own up to your mistake" I was so confused why he still has to do that. Is it for youtube's netizen's sake? or just for the sake of making a video? To make his wife look bad? They already sort this out.His wife already did the owning up and apology in private. It clearly made Colette uncomfortable (I really saw that when she was saying it in front of the camera). If he wants to teach his kid about a certain value, he can do it without humiliating his spouse and in private. This isn't the issue about "she is already use to that behavior of Shay" it's about respect. I think he disrespected his wife that way. Anyway if it works for them, then who am I to say what he are doing is wrong but I really saw it in Collete that she felt bad about it again and she became uncomfortable with the whole "blabbing about her mistake" by her husband. She even walked away from the camera. Some people are saying it's his sense of humor and he is just joking. I really don't see it that way.Making your spouse feel bad and uncomfortable is NOT a good joke. I wish this family well but I won't watch their videos anymore. God bless this family. They have wonderful kids and I really admire Colette, she's such a good woman

Whether it was because that person was texting and driving, talking on their phone, or talking to their child or other family member, they got distracted momentarily and took their eyes off the road. Maybe they swerved to avoid a speeding car and crashed their car, or it could've been a car malfunction. We don't know what happened, but thousands of people were effected by the crash. If the victims survived, that's awesome, if not, then condolences to their loved ones. And those people can either sit in traffic for an hour or two, or find another route to get where they need to go. He wasn't trying to be offensive. Some of you people take everything he says way too seriously.

So I was just looking at old photos of my brother and I and I started getting upset. Even though my brother is 4 years older than me we are still really close and he is graduating in 8 days. Last year I booked a holiday for July 8th... it came to June 6th and I was just checking the holiday details to make sure I could get the time off work and it turned out that my holiday wasn't booked for July... it was booked for June. I had 2 days to pack and rearrange transport. If I hadn't checked, I would have missed my holiday! It was hectic!
