One of my cats has had a few times when I had to bath him because he likes to watch me pee, and sometimes his head interrupts the stream because he's weird. But he's also very comfortable in the bath, and has never given me any trouble at all (although he's not a huge fan of the hair dryer). But he's also someone who will hop in the shower with me sometimes and take a shower too.

i bathe my cat once a week.. she's an indoor-outdoor cats so by the end of the week she became dirty/smelly from all the roaming around

I have bathe a cat its good to start when they are young but have bathe older cats most when handled correctly they can become acclimated to the water. I have some that like the water and not the dryer and some not the water but love the warmth of the dryer.

Please tell me if i’m doing something wrong! I bathe my cat once a day, since he does a poo in the litter box he sits on it ( he’s only 4months old ) he never put his tail up since he doesn’t realise that he’s getting his paws and butt all dirty whilst doing a poo. He now does a poo once a day so we have to bathe him once a day… Please tell me if i’m doing this wrong or right! :(

Have you talked to your vet about this? A healthy cat will know how to bury his poop and not get anything stuck anywhere, so this, to me, sounds like a possibly major health issue. How long has this been going on for? Do you use cat shampoo or just plain water to bathe him? Anything more than water this often will definitely dry out his skin so if you do use a cat shampoo or anything similar, please stop using it for the time being. I hope you can figure this out soon!

​@@YourNotMaria I see... if possible, try spacing out the baths for as long as you can and it's bearable for you and your kitty, even the plain water baths. You can also sometimes use cat shampoo but try to do that no more than every 6-8 weeks, better yet only every 2-3 months :) I'd definitely bring up his poo issues at the next vet visit and please also have them check his skin! I know you just wanted the best for your kitty but overbathing can actually lead to a number of health issues like skin inflammation among other things... Anyway, what kind of cat is he? :)
