Hey, I used this calculator on my Wigglytuff and I noticed something off: berry finding S reduces the skill triggering chance. I compared my Wigglytuff on lvl 50 (helping bonus, inventory up S and berry finding S) with a lvl 50 Wigglytuff with no sub-skills and the no skills Wigglytuff had a higher skill chance than mine even if mine has helping bonus. I took off BFS and mine became better, but adding it made it worse. A lvl 1 sylveon is better than my lvl 50 Wigglytuff with BFS. Do you have any idea why?

Because BFS causes inventory to fill up quicker and when inventory is full the skill (if not already banked) cannot be triggered. This appears to be accounted for. Try the calculator with BFS + Inventory Up L instead. It should give nearly the same skill trigger rate because inventory doesn't fill up.

@@Bropenings oh, ok! I didn't think about that! Too bad I don't have this sub-skill in my Wigglytuff, it's currently lvl 18, if I don't find any good igglybuff until lvl 50 I will consider using a sub-skill seed before it gets BFS

@jo40p3dr0 it's not a big problem if you collect your drops frequently enough so the inventory doesn't fill. Only issue is that 1 trigger in the morning from overnight farming.

Do you think the tier lists that have been banded about over the last few months are now highly outdated with the new info on skills trigger frequency (both tbhs video as well as inventory full,etc)? I know lots of people, including myself, who have based team composition decisions slightly on tier lists. Eg now I'm more likely to use Golduck, since it's got a monstrous skill trigger speed

Well golduck is a skill specialist and is the only one that has its skill within skill specialists. It triggers 3x more than gengar and 2x more than feraligatr. So it does seem to have more than 2x rate.

But it probably doesn't outdo the berry or ing strength provided by gengar or feraligatr. Having said that, cacao is the highest strength providing ingredient among the non-rare ingredients. So there's some merit in that.

Glad my insistence that Golem is a fast triggerer for weeks now is validated. People were saying was spotting things thst werent there. In fact, its the second fastest variable charge strength S Pokemon behind Golduck!

Hey - are we sure that the calculator is accurate? btw I wouln't take the risk to play a skill specialist pkmn with speed of help up but main skill chance down if i'm interested in the skill

From personal experience, this calculator is closest to the truth than any other calculator I've seen. Even if it isn't 100% accurate, we have no other option. This is the one I use when I need to know relative skill trigger rate, and approximate berry or ingredient strength production.

Main skill chance up, skill trigger, both good for slaking. bfs good while u investing it as a berry focussed vigoroth. I don't like IFS, but otherwise it's great

The color just means it's above or below 1.000 Green is better because the skill trigger (if everything else is held the same) will be a higher chance.

I believe I did, you can check the numbers yourself. However, the calculator gets constant updates so I'm not sure if the numbers may have changed since. There was a recent update on Helping Bonus calculations.

You'll have to ask Raenon themself. I believe it's a mixture of user verifications and apk mining. I've found the data to be pretty accurate so far. Just a matter of whether you understand the limitations of the calculators.

3:08 you can't use a main skill seed here because of the subskill-the game will tell you it can't be used (at 100, it would exceed level 6). The same thing happens for sub skill seeds used on Skill Level Up S to get to M if the total skill level would exceed 6 after all evolutions and existing sub skills are considered.

​@@Bropenings omg lol. the latter half of my comment is true for a different reason-can't have duplicate subskills, so if you have SLU S & M, you can't have two SLU M. I assumed based off of that the devs were lenient and wouldn't let you waste a seed if it would be pointless... now I see the folly. Thanks for testing for science :)

I'm glad I started looking into this, I had an otherwise very good eevee with skill chance down nature and now I don't think I should evolve it into sylveon even though I've put 100 hours of sleep into it. The calc is showing it to be about 25% worse than another eevee I have. It's kinda crazy for a game as slow as this one to progress in to have so little actual knowledge about the hard numbers.

Sylveon definitely relies on its skill to be useful. If main skill down, all eeveelutions are harmed for their purpose, but sylveon more so.
