My audience has grown really significantly and my views are way up since I went to once a week - because that one video is now so much more thoughtful than the three or four that I used to upload! This is great information and definitely something to test. It was hard to drop down my production! I thought for sure it would kill my channel, but just the opposite!

Wow you tried it? Dropping down>>I feel like 2x wweek is killing me. BUT ou guys when I did a bunch of days 21 days tried daily but it was every 2-3 days my channel had a burst of growth. So it's hard to know. Then I had to slow down to 2x week. But the burst thing he suggested does grow a channel.

In July I went from 2 videos a week to 3 videos a week and discovered I had almost no time for myself. I think I will drop down to two videos a week for my own sanity. I didn't notice any noticeable change in views or anything in that time, apart from one spike from a video but that is unrelated I think.

This is really helpful! It’s hard to figure out how often I should upload. I make fiber art videos in the style of ASMR, so I’m trying to bridge between two communities. There’s a misnomer that fiber art is just for middle aged and older women, and there’s a growing number of younger fiber artists who are trying to change that perspective. I’m trying to show young people (approx. 18-40 years, give or take either way) that it can be extremely relaxing and fun. Last year was my first year doing it, and this year I’m trying to learn more about the technical side of it, including how do I get the algorithm to work. I definitely want my channel to grow, and since I started working more on the technical aspects of the videos, I’ve been slowly, but surely, growing. It can be hard to not compare myself to other ASMR Artists who have thousands or millions of subscribers, but it does show me what is possible. And there are no secrets about my technical prowess! LOL I am a much better artist than I am a techie, and I’ve mentioned that in my videos. My videos are pretty raw and unedited, but I am learning basic editing.

For people who insist on uploading content multiple times a week, I’d encourage them to post shorter pieces on tiktok, instagram, and twitter to help grow their audience in between weekly youtube videos.✨ i just started out so i have a pretty low intensity upload schedule (monthly) but i like that i have the one huge project to work on for the month and after that’s done it’s just the reels and IGTV’s etc to make sure all my followers have a chance to see what the video was for the month. 💭It really extends the life of my videos and i don’t feel pressured to make so many at a time.

I think it's very wise advice.. but I personally have been creating content (mostly) consistently on this channel for almost 4 years now.. and I just recently broke through a creative block. I used to upload 1 a week, maybe 2-3 if I was motivated... Now I'm uploading every other day, and as a creator that pace is just exhilarating and motivating for me... IDK if this helps anyone, but I would guess that in addition to the point of "it depends on the channel", I think it also "depends on the Creator" a bit. But who knows.. We upload a new video every Friday. Every now and then we'll upload more than one a week, but no matter what we put up a video on Friday. Making sure to upload a video on that day has helped us with consistency. I usually finish editing that week's video by Wednesday, but I always schedule it to post on Friday. I try to finish the video early just in case anything comes up that may hinder the Friday upload process. I run a drawing channel and I upload only once a week. Any more than that is next to impossible working 8 hours a day at my day job, specially since a decent drawing takes me up to 6-10 hours

I upload once a week always at the same time: Wednesday at 12. Having a whole week to work on a video gives me plenty of time to get it to a standard I'm happy with. I reckon more than that would be too much pressure and degrade the quality. Sometimes I wonder whether to make more short-form content alongside and do twice a week. Like this video said, might be worth running an experiment there
