It's somewhat perplexing to me that everyone thinks the movie "Grease" made Olivia famous. I remember hearing her great songs in the early 70's, my favorite "Have You Never Been Mellow." Olivia was famous and the world fell in love with her as a wonderful singer and entertainer long before she was in the movie "Grease." She was one of the most popular new sensations in the 70's.

Didn't he regularly cheat on your mother throughout the marriage, abandon her during her cancer diagnosis when she needed him most and ultimately run off with the babysitter ? I get that that's your father, but if all that is true, then that is horrible. Your mother was truly beautiful inside and out, and she deserved better.

Olivia waited as long as she did to get married to Matt because she was terrified of divorce, having experienced her parents’ split. As the video says, when she got diagnosed with cancer she began exploring different spiritualities and to surround herself with spiritual people. That’s what offended her husband who’s more of a pagan than a believer in a higher power like God. In an interview he referenced their split and said contemptuously that she’d changed and he didn’t like the type of people she’d chosen to be around. She said even without the cancer their marriage would’ve probably ended anyway. Sometimes a significant age gap can make for problems eventually, when one reaches certain milestones or points in life the other can’t relate to or has already gone through and has no patience for when it happens to their spouse. One example is that what often happens when one reaches their 40’s is an examination of their life thus far, a recognition of mortality, a re-prioritizing. I think most late 20’s, early 30-year old’s (no offense intended) would feel threatened by the changes they fear might occur or are occurring in their older partner.

It happens. He was younger and most likely immature. Olivia seemed so much more deeper and spiritual than he and it all happened the way it was supposed to happen. It's funny how people will make up their own false assumptions over people who lived a very private life and turn that privacy that they or nobody else knows about but those involved into something that never happened. The truth is that Olivia and Matt divorced. 2 years later Matt remarried and divorced and remarried again. That's the only thing that anyone other than those involved knows and then their lies they tell about it all to make up a story that is misleading just to make money off of it.
@ROOSTERNEWTONJOHN2 жыл бұрын
Matt never had an affair while he and Olivia were still married. Matt did not "run off" with any babysitter. Olivia & Matt divorced in 1995. Matt married Cindy Jessup in 1997. Matt and Cindy divorced. Matt later married Michelle. They all were very close friends with each other through all these years.
