Whoever turned him in had ill intentions, but instead shows his level of integrity and how strong his marriage is. Whoever turned him in is lonely and miserable.

I said the exact same thing when I read this story a couple of weeks ago. That man turned his life around and now this is what you’re doing? If they meant well they should’ve convinced him to turn himself in. Even going with him for moral support if they meant well. 🤦🏽‍♀️

He did the right thing. Ultimately, he served less than 8 years of what would have been a 25 year sentence at least. He changed his life and became productive, that's why he did less than 2 years when they caught him. That family member didn't destroy his life as they hoped to. It backfired on them. They did him a huge favour, made him a celebrity. Now he has a book and a movie that he will profit from. Wouldn't have happened if that person had kept their mouth shut. Instead, they have secured the future of the Love family.

@@mireille1594 you’re ignorant. I’m a judge and work on the federal side. There’s no basis for a 30 year sentence absent intentional physical injury. I don’t think you grasp the concept of “armed” robbery. It means he was part of a robbery where someone had “some” kind of weapon. The term weapon is defined extremely loosely. Especially in the Jim Crow south (and I’m a UVA/William & Mary educated lawyer who practiced in Hampton Roads and Richmond before my military career so I’m familiar with the history). Having a weapon during a robbery does not mean using said weapon during the course of a robbery. That’s what transforms armed robbery into capital murder. He could even have been charged with armed robbery for sitting in a getaway car. You really should educate yourself before you decide you’re qualified to pronounce sentence on a stranger, leaving aside that you have none of the facts of his case to use to make your assessment. What you do have is a lot of presumption and a whole lot of spiteful bias.

This reminds me of a story I'd seen on Oprah where this lady was given a long sentence for a robbery but escaped in the late 70's by jumping the prison fence where her grandfather left a car for her to complete her getaway! She didn't change her name but did die her hair blonde and also moved to another state and worked as a waitress,then later married a prominent doctor, had two kids and became a soccer mom and regularly played tennis at the country club and went horseback riding! She drove a car but never renewed her license for 25 years! Someone turned her in then and all her secrets came out! She ended up doing a short time then was released with time served! I wondered what her life would've been like had she done her time and was released with a prison record! Certainly not being a doctor's wife and the country club life!!

"Today you will be with Me in Paradise," are the Words spoken by the Lord Jesus Christ to the man who had been convicted of stealing and was sentenced to death by being nailed to a cross.
@titus3_1-7
@titus3_1-7 2 жыл бұрын
@@pearlware4388 Dear Pearl, I thank the Lord for crossing our paths. There is a common misunderstanding regarding the thief on the cross, and many try to use that as a reason to reject the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Yea, indeed the thief on the cross did end up in Paradise, as our Lord Jesus said unto him. But it is important to remember that this was during the Old Testament, and the thief on the cross was a Jewish man, of the covenant children of Israel, who only had to look on his Messiah and believe on him to be saved, as it is written in John 3:14-16 John 3:14-16 "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." You can read of Moses lifting up the serpent in the Old Testament. Moses was commanded to do this for the children of Israel, not for the world. This is very important to understand, there were no Christians in the Old Testament. No one had ever heard of a Christian. The New Testament came to pass 50 days after the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, and on that 50th day, on the day of Pentecost, the New Testament gospel began to be preached: Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. The thief on the cross was still under the Old Testament (a dying testament as the Son of God was shedding his blood on the cross). Jesus Christ came for the lost sheep of the house of Israel (Matthew 15:24), he was a minister of the circumcision, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers (Romans 15:8). Jesus Christ only came for the Jews, not for the Gentiles. It was only when the Jews rejected their Messiah and crucified him, that salvation was opened unto the Gentiles...so then anybody, whether Jew or Gentile, by obeying the gospel of Christ can have their sins remitted and become a Christian (a saint). I beseech thee to take some time to watch the videos below on this topic. It will greatly bless thee if you love God's word: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iKLchmOGqqarq5o kzbin.info/www/bejne/fpK4f5uKbrNrrLM

The person who turned him in was probably anticipating Love's entire life (and family) to totally break down and shatter. It did not. And, it's really amazing that this biased justice system seemed to count the upright life he lived as "time off for good behavior" so that he only had to serve a much shorter time in prison rather than the time remaining on his original sentence.

@@mrsTraveller64 yes it does have to do with the story. Your thinking is very limited, but no worries, I will explain. What the person meant by that comment is that, despite everything this man has been through, he still has JOY now! And that only comes from God. Some people would be depressed and down about life having to go to jail at such an old age, but as you can see, this man in the video is not even bitter, in fact he looks happy and his wife is still beside him ! So that means, God works in miraculous ways, His ways are higher than our ways, says God in the Bible. It is true indeed. Have a blessed day!
