Good report.. I also think the attitude of the young brigade to pursue excellence is a major factor. With Owen's, Windy and Wilson setting standards it brings the other players along.. BTW I believe that Naz is a generational player and will soon be a star of the competition..

I think it’s a combination of things. Yes Carrol’s made a difference. How much difference no one really knows. But the drafting from 2010- 2017 was probably in the bottom 3 of the competition if not the worst imo. There’s one man responsible for that and that’s Tony Elshaug. Will go down in history as the worst list/recruitment person in the history of the game. And we are just starting to come out the other side of it now. That’s how long it takes to recover when you don’t get it right and he made some of the worst recruiting blunders anyone will ever see.

Always thought with Newnes in the best 22 we were never a real team. Cant have hacks like that. Dougal is in the same camp he cant be a best 22 player for us if we want to play finals imo.

D-Mac was pretty good, had his body been able to stand up. Sinclair, of course. But the Watters/Richardson era was dreadful for recruiting. ALL THE FAULT OF SIMON ELSHAUGH WHO LIKED 'GOOD PEOPLE WITH GOOD FAMILIES'. ZERO attention to talent.
