Two questions for the resurfce automation: 1. Why don’t you just filter for the date in the first JQL? 2. Wouldn’t it be safer to use inequality for the second JQL just in case an automation run is missing?

Anyone following this video run into issues with the Deferment Date field not being seen by the automation? I follow these steps in the video and I'm getting an error in automation that says that the custom field Deferment Date may be unavailable for the project/type (I created it the same as the video). This is such a wonderful little workflow and I'm hoping to get it implemented. Thanks so much for the information!

Just replying here incase anyone finds this. I'm not sure if its a bug or a miss config on my end but the Automation for Jira user role for the rule actor doesn't seem to have permissions to my newly created custom fields. For now I switched the rule actor to me as the an admin and the automations are working.

@@justingauthier1873 I have the same issue. Any custom fields I've created don't appear as options in any automation flows. Seems this may have been moved to code instead of simple drop down which is annoying.

How did you find the Key id of the custom field??

We srongly recommend using the Advanced JQL view.
