Pirates have been avoiding the central play since Second half of the 1st leg against City in MTN 8 even against Jwaneng Pirates played diagonal balls and that's how they managed to get the better of Jwaneng because they played with 3 CDM's witch exposed the wide areas, also that is why Tito is not visible much because he now get limited touches unlike when Pirates play through the middle, evident to when Dlamini came on and started drilling it through the central corridor, but people aren't as analytical they won't see it

Great point. Hence the coach keeps playing Makhaula . He is more concerned about cover in the middle than going through the middle and with the way Van Rooyen was playing yesterday, we might see more of this because makhaula must cover the space lelf by him and Hotto. He is not focused on attack the way Dlamini was. This makes it very difficult for Tito because teams just box him in so he cant move as he wishes. That is just my view

For me Makhaula is effective when we defending, only after the coach saw that Chippa were tired did he decide that they were no longer a threat. But Mbatha alone can't defend against a strong opposition.

@@georgenyamani8393 very much so, Jose has realized that we are not so effective playing in the central corridor with Makhaula so he goes wide, against city he realized that, hence he benched Dlamini for Skhehle to deal with the defensive aspect but that came at a cost of having a Tito that is not on the ball much

@@betrumpietersen6690 yes, in the city game, 2nd leg Skhehle was playing in front of the defense playing side to side covering the spaces between CB's & WB's which is how city scored in the 1st leg through a Hotto mistake by leaving his man un marked who then went on to score similar to how Jali scored

Now that you mentioned demonstrated the overloading on the side, I can safely say that Pirates is not patient in possession of the ball. They always rush their attacks. If our wingers attract opponents on the side we should be patient and switch play to low pressure zones which would be the opposite winger. We look like the team of 22/23 season always running none stop. Stellies might hurt OP because it is stellies DNA to play on transitions and 3rd man run..

I was so impressed with our preseason game model of which I have not seen those pattern of plays on the previous games... Beginning of last season we played so beautifully and we dangerous in possession and we lost against Stellies and Jwaneng and we changed all that.. I am bit confused lately on how the coach wants to play.. our players are to far from each other except the 2 CDMs.. And and back 4 otherwise we are too scattered on the field of which it makes it easy for opponents to penetrate us through the middle.

Tito is there to free other players, last night he was Dragging players to the center to create space behind, he is doing what Makgopa does when he plays but what is different is that he does it outside of the box, if you track his movements you will realize that most goals are a results of that

He has a free role. He pops up everywhere, on this video I showed him overloading the left with Mofokeng, at time he was doing it with Saleng. Sometimes he is the widest, basically free role.

Trust me I failed in school and repeated all my grades three times to four times but I never quit. School was like daycare.
