HOW OUR FAMiLY OF 10 SPENT MEMORiAL DAY 🇺🇸🇺🇸

It’s a tradition with our family that every memorial day weekend we go canoeing normally it is Brendon‘s birthday but this year his birthday isn’t until Wednesday.
Noah and I got up super early and got a huge breakfast for everybody to come over and enjoy then we got our chores done headed out for canoeing. Normally it’s super hot but this year it was only about 48 to 55° but we wanted to keep up the tradition because we have been doing this for close to eight years. As the kids get older, they don’t wanna share canoes anymore they all get their own kayak and then race to the end. But me and my husband, like to just take our time and relax, have some snacks and enjoy the quiet. 
I think the only time that somebody has ever fallen into the river is when Izzy literally fell asleep rowing and she was with my husband and the canoe tipped right over because she fell right asleep into the water. After that we switched it up and Izzy went with me and then Joshua had with my husband Noah right away fell into the river and then we were almost done and Josh almost fell over four times.
I really love the holidays because I know that I get to hang out with my kids and everything is shut down so we have to just enjoy each other‘s company, but the end of memorial day was the best. Make sure to watch till the end so you can see our exciting news for our family.

It’s our family tradition to honor our veteran family members including my late husband (army) my brothers(navy) my Dad (navy) and my 12 uncles who served in WWII and Korea. We gather together at the local cemetery for our community event. Let’s not forget the meaning of this “holiday”. 🇺🇸💔

You remind me so much of my mom. I wish she was still here. She cook/baked for both my brother's wedding rehearsal dinners.
