They are the most active listeners!! They never interject with stuff like "well i just feel like...". They just listen, take it in and, i'm assuming, make the changes needed to rebalance the relationship . I find it so beautiful how Ben clearly FEELS what Sidra is saying. It's almost like he knows what she's saying, beyond her words, and when he is looking to her eyes he not only sees her soul, but he feels it too. I know that sounds incredibly romantic, but their intimacy and closeness is so palpable, and it's a divine thing to see.

I am so grateful for someone to be honest about how they feel about expanding a family even when thier not happy about it. It’s nothing to be ashamed of and it needs to be talked about. Not everyone just feels joy about having a baby. It’s difficult and takes so much out of the mother. It should be discussed in a way that acknowledges the challenges and frustrations as well that’s real; and not make a probably more common than realized feeling marginalized.

It's like connecting with your soulmate and experiencing paradise briefly and then spending the rest of your life on this crazy adventure combating all the challenges and obstacles that pop up, all the while chasing that brief glimpse of paradise. And then holding on becomes a struggle. But then if you remove all the hardship life throws at you, you know that you would experience euphoria with this person. But you two are constantly evolving. And so on this journey together, you have to continuously try to connect again. But at the end of the journey, when the kids are grown and have left the nest, when you are retired, when your health is failing, you know who you want to spend your last days with. Life is such a complex mosaic of so many components. You need to often stop, breathe and reflect. But more importantly, you need to know, love and connect with yoursel before you can move forward.
