Mahomes’ pure talent overshadows the other parts of his game that are really special also. His ability to mentally process the game quickly and use his eyes to look off safeties was amazing right away. And he’s still only getting better.

It’s imperfect, as just from a talent perspective LeBron is one of the great talents, while Brady was an over-achiever, but when their legacies are complete, I could see the same kind of “eye-test” versus analytics arguments being made (assuming Mahomes gets at least 4 Super Bowls and a couple more MVPs, of course).

Broncos were in desperate need of a future franchise QB and they totally blew it not just one year but multiple years where they could've gotten any number of quality QBs in the draft. What did they get instead? Drew lock who I knew was going to be a collosal bust but it was John elway's hand picked guy. Could you imagine mahomes, Herbert, burrow, Allen or Lamar Jackson leading that team with the wide receivers core they got and one of the top defenses in the league?
