I've generally avoided spoilers for the show, but I think this is the one exception since it was in the comics, although a bit different. The glasses illuminated within the cell are a great visual.

I'm vaguely disappointed with this version; I imprinted quite heavily on the comics version (after being generally aware of the original, but not having details to imprint on), and that's the basis for at least three of my fanfics so far (one for Percy's impressions of the group, one for a more traumatized Percy with selective mutism, and one where he's not rescued and just gets sacrificed by the cult instead). Still, it's nice to see a variation animated; maybe I'll build on this one too. Though it's pretty clearly separated from its original context (trying to save a progressively weaker Grog from getting possessed by that lich).

As funny as it would be if the party stole all the gold off of Percy like in the original campaign, I do appreciate that they changed Percy being broke to fit with the narrative better. I doubt that a traumatized and injured/tortured teen - regardless of how smart he is - would have had the foresight to grab any gold while trying to escape with his sister.

What I'm wondering is; How TF do they all get such a clean shave?! After living with my brother for a couple of years, the dude can shave his face with the sharpest of razors but looks like Percy stuck in a cell for a couple of days, after a fresh shave.😹😹

Well goliaths can't grow a beard. Vax is half-elf... so while they can grow beard, my guess being half elf it is harder and takes more time. And Scanlan just shaves I guess, he looks like he cares about his look a lot

they are making death revial harder then it is in D&D so adding hoops so death has more impact he is coming back. my guess is his soul is in the gun that shot him. it was glowing when he died and Orthax takes the souls of those killed by its guns.

@@TheJessy8888 that is impossible irl lol. In a coffin it can take up to 1 year for the body to start decomposing and up to a decade to fully decay. The first factor for decomposition of flesh are maggots. You remove them, and you have no decomposition (well you do but is incredibley slow)

In the campaign and comics? Yes. But Orion threw a major hissy fit over anyone using his character, and they parted on bad terms anyway, so they couldn't exactly get him to come on to voice his character for the show.

If they make Percy's deal with Ipkess be for his resurrection, then they can fit the fight against Ripley and Raishan in the last 3 episodes. That way season 4 can focus on the reborn Briarwoods and Vecna story arcs. Hopefully, we get a taste of who's going to voice the whispered one by end of season.
