He didn't explain that - You are inferring that. The actual Jupiter/Earth/Sun alignment occurs every year, not every approx. 11 year solar cycle or Jupiter approx. 12 year orbit So you you don't even have a correlation let alone evidence for a cause.

And because I realized that along time ago - I also knew that everything being connected to everything else doesn't mean anything is causative for anything else - just because of their innate connection. You are confused. If you yourself actually google what you suggest you won't find confirmation of your hypothesis. For three reasons. One is that the full solar cycle occurs every 22 years - 11 is only half that cycle. What this means is that the peak solar cycle of most activity occurs every 22 years and the trough of the solar cycle is every 22 years. So Jupiter every 11 years is having an opposite effect? No it's not because it actually is not having a causative effect. Second, Jupiter is always pulling on the Sun at anywhere in it's orbit just the same during any position and any time of it's orbit. Thirdly, the actual time frame of the solar cycle(even half cycle of 11 years) is not the same time frame of Jupiters 11.86 years. If you only look at one sun cycle and one orbit of Jupiter - which is what you are doing; It would appear Jupiter has a sync of timing - when in fact it doesn't. If you expand out through a number of cycles it's easy to see that 11 vs. 11. 86 produces an expanding separation of timing. Just because of that 0.86 difference means that in just about 7 years, where at the start of Jupiters position in its orbit when it also corresponded to a peak solar cycle - To that exact same spot(Jupiter in its orbit) about 7 years later - the sun will be neither at a peak or trough of a cycle. This highlights my second point about anywhere along the orbit. So again it's not my inability to grasp how everything is connected - But your inability as to what that really means; That everything is connected

If you are speaking of the intersections of the planes of the ecliptic which at the same time happen to be also an alignment along that axis towards the sun - Then you are speaking of something that is exceedingly rare - Just compare Jupiters orbit 11.86 years to Earths 365.26 days. Let's put it in days for both so Jupiter is in days 11.86 x 365.26 = gives us 4331.9836. So how many times does 365.26 go into 4331.9836? It certainly doesn't do so evenly - which means a planar alignment rarely happens - It certainly does not happen cyclically every 12 years of so.

The Only thing SadGuru got right was the shrinking of brains and capacity to use them. Very disappointed that no one seems to have the wits to spot his screw up with this. He has blundered massively with his claims of the Sun being closer to Earth when we are on the same side in our orbits. Quite the opposite. The Sun and Jupiter orbit the centre of mass of the solar system. As does Earth. So we are furthest from the sun when ALIGNED with Jupiter, and closest when Jupiter is directly BEHIND the Sun.
