What helped me is to actually see that it's an enemy trying to hurt me, and seriously hate it. I reprogrammed myself to get angry instead of horny when i watched any pornographic content, and ended up being quiet aggressive and insulting towards friends who discussed it, but it was worth it. When you manage to at least quit this, you have to find new habits that will give you the amount of dopamine you require, which can be found in playing music, reading, going for walks, engaging in social activities, exercising, etc. It's never too late to make a change, and in such short time you'll realise that it was worth it. small actions turn into habits, and habits make us

As a porn addict who’s desperately trying to relinquish it for good, I am both grateful this video exists and disgusted with myself for having discovered it at 14 years old and since becoming drawn to it with no discouragement from anyone whatsoever. Now at 28, I continue to struggle to convince myself how abhorrent it is, constantly going into trances when it catches me, making me forget about various problems in my life, which is the only reason I watch it. Otherwise, I hate it. So much. Though I was told by my parents it’s all one big neurological fallacy, they never went far enough to stop me from viewing it, and nobody else I know (at least those whom I’ve discussed porn with) thinks it’s bad. Just normal. As many of us have said already, this video ought to be seen by millions of others, particularly the media, to warn them of just how destructive porn can be. I don’t expect any sympathy since I’m an addict who’s yet to quit, but to all those people out there who are trying to quit like me, don’t give up. I watch pron about two times a week, have sex with my wife my wife about the same amount, I'm working and have even a bit of a social life outside of my family. It never prevented me for having girlfriends or going to work or enjoying my hobbies. Funny thing is that none of my girlfriends watched porn and most were more horny than me. People can separate porn and real life, but truth to be told, watching it made me able to perform better as a lover, because I knew what could bring pleasure to a woman, and by having sex, you understand more and more what can turn on each person individually. Complementary. I'd say porn have a bad effect on society because it became so mainstream. It's a private thing but we made it too "acceptable" and public. When every TV channels show you random bitches twerking their asses and getting money for it, you know society is doomed. Only Fans is a concentration of lazy whores who weren't more valuables before, and there's so much loneliness that some people are just simps in consequence. Not even talking about porn actresses becoming new anchors or TV shows who show gross stuff during prime time. Too much porn ? Sure, drop it bro. A bit of it isn't too bad, for most people at least. Here, I'm going to rub one for you. Cheers.

I've known a lot of people in the recovery community who were cross addicted to both alcohol/drugs AND porn. The interesting thing that I see time and time again is the ease of many people to talk openly about all of the horrible things they have suffered at the hands of drugs and alcohol and yet when porn addiction is brought up you can cut the tension in the air with a knife. You think its taboo to talk about in the open and in general, hell its taboo in many recovery circles! Great videos, keep them coming! Just binged watched all of them. lol

I think there's so much tension because people can easily use the drugs & alcohol as an escape goat for their actions but when porn is mentioned it becomes "embarassing" due to the fact that it was you & your will alone that broke due to porn, but this stigma is wrong because porn is so easily accessible and is so similar to drug addiction and has to be treated the same. This addiction ruined my life, and luckily, I'm on the way to being clean now. It's such a shame that everywhere I go, pornography is seen as such a normal thing. A ton of people at my school are always talking about/sending pornography to each other and they say things like "Why am I so depressed?" or "Life has no meaning." Though whenever I tell them to quit, they get all mad. Anyone else who is addicted, please try to quit now before your life gets worse.

Most people don't ever try to come to their own conclusion about things like morality, they just go along with whatever is normal, because for most of human history, the norm was what worked. That's not the case today, society has weakened its defenses of tradition, which then caused people to search elsewhere for solutions to their woes. Whether or not something is normal in such a circumstance is largely up to chance, but people don't realize this and will go along with whatever is normal, never stopping to think about it.

The paparazzi industry is huge. And it's completely normal to sell and buy that kind of content. On the micro level, offices/workplaces and family reunions are full of gossipers.

What has western liberal democracy actually done for us? Over the past century, it's led to countless wars plus the destruction of most countries and civilizations in the world. It's destroyed families. It's created a generation of collective narcissists. It's given us an epidemic of obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and cancer (as you pointed out). It's given us an epidemic of alcohol, drug, gambling, video game, anime, and porn addictions. It's given us increased rates of crime and terrorism throughout the world. It's given us societal and political polarization. The media today is full of gossip (as you also pointed out) instead of actual journalism. Etc, etc. Yeah, liberal democracy = not good.

I only just came across this video but I’m currently in the process of trying to escape a pornography addiction. I’m a 27 year old woman and have been struggling with a porn addiction since I was about 10. Earlier this year, in January 2023, I realized I hadn’t watched any in a couple of days and decided to see how long I could make it last. I’ve currently made it three months and am on my way to a fourth. That’s not to say I haven’t been tempted by it or desired to, I actually almost gave in today but I’m too stubborn to not succeed now and to be honest, I have read some smut in that time but it’s baby steps.

Hello my fellow human beings. How are you today or tonight? Billy Graham once said something in the likes of sin traps you, you become like a mouse stuck in a rat trap yet the mouse still continues to nibble on the cheese Sin leads to death in all aspects of life. Commit your life to Jesus Christ. SIN STARTS from the mind when you think about it expands eventually you run back to SIN even if you stop for a week or a month or a year, if your mind is not renewed daily you stand a 50/50 chance of going back. What does the bible say> The bible says: Romans 12:2 "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." Renew your mind instead of thinking of evil. THINK OF GOOD THINGS CHARITABLE DEEDS ALL THE TIME. Remember in this world we are all soldiers on a mission, whether you like it or not. Deuteronomy 30:19 New Living Translation (NLT) “Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!" This is God speaking. He has given us His son, His spirit (The Holy Spirit), Himself, He has also given us dominion over the whole earth (Genesis 1:26) dominion over all principalities and power even the devil fears us because of Him that lives in us (Jesus Christ) If you accept Him. I have too much say. I could talk forever (figuratively). I love you, MOST of all God loves you. Take care of yourself. Your family and your neighbors. PEACE BE WITH YOU.

I understand... I thought it was impossible to get out of this loophole, and there was no way I could quit the addiction, but on this very day, I have quitted and stopped my habits. This will be up to you if you want to accept it or not. Pornography can be quit, but it takes a lot of self-control, and literally (not joking in here) cutting the problems from the root. Everything related to what might cause you to fall needs to be deleted asap. Also, take a break from social media, and stop following content that could tempt you to keep the habit. First, you need to recognize that you need help and acknowledge that alone you cannot do this; This would be the part that almost anyone doesn't want to get involved in, but I think this is a MUST, to quit pornography at least entirely. You need to pray a lot, and that means praying a lot to Jesus and God. Go to confession (if you're baptized Catholic), or go to a priest. He would surely give you advice on how to proceed. In the most severe case, a psychologist is recommended (although for seculars I wouldn't be so sure) Start going less through social media, start reading, and find new hobbies (or just something to get your mind busy), and when the urge comes, just try to pray, and think about what would God do in this situation. The difficult part is that the images will come to you, and it will be difficult to overcome at first, but that's the thing, through Christ we can do the impossible. It is true, the scars will be there, and It's tough because you'll have to cut content that you used to enjoy before. This is not easy, it is a process, but you'll have to renounce some things in order to avoid addiction and sin. Sometimes I struggle, but I can tell you that by doing that, things will get better, and the temptations will still be there, but then, you'll be healing, and what would affect you easily, eventually (though slowly or rapidly depending how seriously you take it) it will no longer affect you, but be aware that you need to stop and no longer seek this content. To tell you the truth, I still struggle sometimes, but I have not seen it since then, and stop my addiction. It's better to cut out things that will make you fall than to keep them. As Jesus said himself: "And if your eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell." (Matthew 18:9)

I first encountered it as a teenager, but after a few years, I managed to break free for about 2.5 years. I relapsed after a series of panic attacks I was having, and haven't been able to break away since. It has been, without a doubt, the most significant affliction on my quality of life in the last few years. The amount of sleep I've lost over it, how long I've put off seeking out a relationship because of it. I knew it was wrong, but some part of my mind repeated those exact myths about porn being perfectly healthy that I'd heard from somewhere or other, and sometimes, that was enough to tip me over the edge. I first started viewing it at 11 - 12 years old and since then it's been a downward spiral into depravity and I'm still addicted to it as an 18 year old. I still haven't told my parents to keep them blissfully unaware of my problems because I know it would hurt them. Sometimes I feel like ending my life because of the extreme amounts of shame I feel if any parents see this please don't let your kids on the internet because it is one of the worst mistakes you can make

If your parents are anything like mine, tell them. I had the same issue. I found it when I was homeschooled at 13 and developed an addiction to it. I spent the next few years trying to hide it from my parents and feeling guilty about it. I’m a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, so I figured my parents would be even stricter than normal parents if I told them, and was worried about when it would be time to go on my mission. I even , uncharacteristically, began to think suicidal thoughts too. But about a year back, when I was 16, I told them the truth finally. They were shocked, of course, but they were just worried for me and reassured me it would be ok and that they wanted to help me through it. Now, a year later, I still have some issues from time to time, but my views on my parents, my religion, and my life have changed dramatically and I feel so much more secure and comfortable. So if there’s ANY chance your parents will listen and understand, tell them. It’s not worth keeping it inside your whole life

@@therealjbroi have a sort of similar story. Im Catholic, discovered it during covid, and didnt tell my parents for about a year, but then just couldn’t take it anymore and told them. My digital privileges *were* restricted, but i think it really did help in reducing the urge and ability and helped me to communicate more personal stuff with my parents. Still have issues sometimes but i can recognize my triggers and resist, and, if need be, block sites. I 100% agree with telling parents cause i was going to die from anxiety

Thank you so much for this video. I started at a young age and this is something I still struggle with at 26... There's been a lot of times where I lost hope, but watching this video has given me some hope back. I'll keep going cause I want to beat this shit. All of it is nothing but the devil at work. It's a pandemic that's been plaguing us for way too long. But I wish the best for all of us still struggling with this. Thanks again for bringing more awareness to this and how harmful it truly is. More people need to see this and accept the truth. Nothing good has ever come from porn.

I watched porn for the first time when I was 14, at the age of 22 I've sworn off it. I haven't watched porn in about 3 weeks, the mantra I remember when tempted is an excerpt form The Bible; "The wages of sin is death" -Romans 6:23. Stay strong brothers.

I too have begun nofap, and it having a name very much decreases the difficulty in this process before I discovered nofap, my attempts at quitting were futile. I could only go ONE DAY without it. Today is day three for me. I also started working out lightly, and I think I’m seeing improvements in my fitness? Then again, it’s only been about three days of legitimate exercise. I got fixed on pornography at 10 years old. “it’s not that bad.” I told myself at 13, “ I only do it every 2nd day.” However, I was wrong. I want to fix my sleep cycle, I want to quit porn, and I want to be decently muscular. Can’t really say I want to fix my life because I’m still 14 I don’t do much with money, but I don’t want to fuck up my future self. Imagine making a mistake when you were young, and however long you take to fix that mistake can determine the rest of your life. (Note: Usually, after some time has passed, I see the mistakes I made in making a comment and while I am passionately typing now, I may regret the way I may have said something that lacked context, or was confusing.)

I appreciate this video so much! Porn addiction is a problem that's not talked much about in a hypersexualized society. However, it seems that some of your talking points hamper the impact of your argument rather than strengthen it. It would be best to limit your opinions for a more informative and successful video. Though, all in all, it was nice to find another video about this under-discussed topic. I wish you the best of luck in the future.

Porn really is hell. What really helped me was to quit all social media. I deleted everything on my phone. Bought books and started hitting the gym. If you really want to quit. Do the most to do so. Get rid of your phone, turn the computer off, and force yourself outside of your comfort zone.

Im happy to found this video, is a very interesting topic, in special because this is affecting minors today in a terrible way. Is sad how this topic is ignored and this needs to be diffused. Porn addiction (including NSFW art) is very dangerous, like you say, there's are a lot studies who proof how this actually affect the human brain in a very negative way, like every addiction that absorbs you in a bad way. Whether alcohol, sustaces, smocking addiction, etc. Everything in excess is bad. Im not a porn addict but I kwon some people who are. Is more, I kwen NSFW artists who normalized this to their minor audience. If you think or feel that you may have this addiction, without shame, seek professional help :).

I grew up before the internet and although there were nude magazines you'd pass around high school, I didn't actually see real pornography until I was maybe 17 on VHS (very tame normal intercourse stuff) and although I was nearly old enough to watch it (18 being the legal age) I remember feeling weird and a bit scared about watching it and had weird feelings even after it. I cannot imagine a young kid aged 9,10 or 11 seeing some of the crazy full on hard stuff that's out there these days.

I've been exposed to pornography and had my first orgasm as early as I can remember (perhaps 6/7 yrs old, yes that early). Today I'm 23, and it still continues to fck my social life. I've been addicted to it and wanted to quit countless times but the urge is deeply rooted and I fail again & again. I've experienced all the negative effects associated to porn/masturbation. I'm 3 days clean now, and the longest I've been is only a week. Everyday the urge grow stronger and I always give in😥 I literally remember my father's porn collection stored in CDs and I watch it every time I'm home alone. I've had access to porn at such a young age. I always knew how to quit but once the urge kicks in, I always find myself in front of a screen and before I realize, I already did the deed😓 I'm disgusted and ashamed. Please pray for me🙏

You can do it! The longer you abstain, the more those new neuropathic lines will be drawn out in your brain to cope. It's tough. The addiction screams at you to fulfill its desires, but know that is not you and not who you are meant to be.

i was never really exposed to the hub but the effects of addiction still gripped me. Looking back, I have realised how messed up my addiction to self pleasure was. I was doing it thinking of my female high school peers, random people I saw on the street, and creations in videogames I played, it was to the point where I was seeing women as nothing but pleasure objects as opposed to human beings, some videogames I played became more of an interactive version of the hub. It got so bad to the point that a small joke I made about a chick from highschool devolved into a full-blown obsession, all because I was rubbing off to the thought of her. When I started watching more conservative creators, I began to realise what the root cause of all my issues were, it was the addiction. Once I made that realisation, I have started a long and bloody battle with my addiction, I deleted everything lewd, blocked all sources of potential lewd, and have gone outside more often

I've been 11 days free and I feel so much better about myself. Unfortunately, since now I'm focusing my time on art I will have to eventually start drawing anatomy which sometimes may require NSFW content. But, hopefully by the time I finish my perspective studies my brain will be much more clearer. My tip for anyone struggling (and trust me, I've struggled for years) is to detach porn completely from your identity. Keep repeating to yourself "I don't watch porn" or "This isn't who I am." over and over and eventually your brain will discard porn as a bad thing.
