@BallisticHighSpeed Жыл бұрын
@@jeremiahcorbett2944 the biggest issue is lighting. We need direct full sunlight to expose for the frame rates and fast shutter speeds we use. Even then it’s sometimes not enough. So with overcast, we can only shoot about 5,000fps and lower.

I think it would be interesting to watch a slo mo of you firing at a mirror that's angled at the camera. so that from the camera's perspective, the bullet is coming at the camera dead on. Maybe even add some glass in between so that we can see a centered POV of glass breaking. Obviously gonna break a few mirrors but it would still be really cool!

As someone who loves guns and just retired after 21 years as a AD Army Medic who only recently started getting into Pre-charged pneumatic (PCP) guns, i would be very curious to see some slow-mo with those. If you are unfamiliar, they are very deadly versions of pellet guns, they come in all calibers up to 72cal, hold typically 3-4 thousand PSI and are not considered fire arms even though the one I have is capable of firing a 147 grain pellet/bullet over 1,000 fps, they are used for even hunting large game and beings they are air powered they are not considered fire arms you can order one with a silencer and FedEx will drop it on your door step without so much as a signature. My most recent is full auto with silencer firing .30 Cal projectile around 900 fps with a cyclic 1,000 rounds a minute, faster than any firearm i have fired though my career. Just an idea, something different and easy to obtain might be fun for you. Side note, the Predator Polymag seem to be the most destructive rounds i have seen though them though there may be something better i am unaware of.

I love that when there’s the debate between 9 and 45 it’s always “They’re the same on paper but 9mm has muh hydrostatic shock” Then when you test them side by side 45 delivers more energy on soft targets, like has been said since forever

Do yall have videos of the differences in the recoil times between semi auto and revolvers?? I have wondered if the recoil is faster on a revolver than a semiauto, also its amazing how much time can go by before the recoil even starts after the bullet has left the barrel... one would think that there would be movement as soon as the bullet begins to move...

Suggestion for a target for the 50ae. Since Christmas is coming up soon, how about a ham? Seems like that tiny pistol has about the muzzle velocity of a spring powered BB gun. It's also interesting to see the aluminum act almost like a thick liquid with how it had waves running across it.

Y'all should get some clear acrylic machined into a tubular magazine for a lever action rifle, then use it to test whether using spitzer/spire point bullets in a tubular magazine will actually cause a chain reaction/explosion due to the bullet tips resting on the next cartridges primer.

At 9:40 you nearly brought me to an idea: Maybe you should do a comparisson like between .45 and 9mm or 223 and 308 or .30-06 (...) to show the difference in movement and rotation at a 200.000 framerate because that looked invredible!

Zombie Max? Man you must have had that stuff sitting around for quite a while, I think they discontinued that line in like 2012 or 13 and kept selling the bullets only for a while after. I still have some, it was cheaper than Critical Defense at the time yet had the exact same specs minus the color of the rubber insert. I've had it stored in a sealed can with desiccant so it still shoots just fine. It was a silly idea but I am sure they made good money on it for a short period during the peak of the zombie craze.

You should try one of those Incinerator rounds, (a small grouping) Majority being .22 or .17 except in an EXTREMELY necked down .50 BMG casing, There was one of them that was actually well circulating the internet and a few people owned them, saying that they could get 6k+ FPS and that the bullet was going so fast that it needed to be fully steel to not disintegrate, They had photos of the fine mist left of a squirel from a slow motion camera, I would like to see the ripples in the shockwave on an aluminum can
