Before that event Mark was absolutely manhandled by Thragg in EVERY SINGLE FIGHT, but that changed exactly right after the boost from Eve when she 'resurrected' him. SPOILER . . . . . . . When near death Eve's full power unlocks and she's able to heal and rebuild herself and anyone nearby. There's a fight near the end of the comic where both Mark and Eve are nearly killed, she's able to rebuild her and Mark's bodies and if I remember she made him tougher/stronger, basically giving him a power boost

Fun fact: Invincible is one of two viltrumites with an actual power boost “ability”. Because he and his daughter are part human, they have adrenal glands or access to adrenaline which allows the human body to surpass its current limits. Because he’s the strongest in the whole series and you wouldnt even get past him because he has tens of thousands of viltrumites on his disposal in case something happens. Thats one of the reasons why he accepted this emperor job. Because he pretty much had the strongest beings on the universe guarding him and eve while they raise their daughter. For people wondering, mark is the strongest ever cause literally no other viltrumite so far except maybe his kids have human dna. The benefit of human dna is our emotions, mainly ADRENALINE. Measly weak 80 year old lady’s less than 5 ft tall have lifted cars to save children. Viltrumes while very strong and much stronger than a human, have no such ability.
