The start of this video was a crash course in why you starve tame. As soon as you put something in a KO'd creature's inventory, the wild creatures treat them as a tamed mount, no longer ignoring them if they normally would. Even if you take the stuff out, it's classed as a tribe's creature until it dies, tames or wakes up.

I came here after running into these in the wild, my basilosaurus can tank alpha mosa, swarms if megalodons, hordes of eels and countless else....... but came across just 3 of these in the wild...... they did more damage to it than all others combined, still won..... but WOW. Don't know how I'm going to tame without tek, may have to get myself a squid...... but I'll find a way, as these will be my new base guards XD megalodon, you've had your day..... its now the giant pirahnas turn XD

If you use the lvl limitation in the dino finder and type in 100 - 150 it will show dinos it normally won't , because it will only show the dinos near by you if it 's 1-150 and not the high lvls on the Map. :)

I remember watching one of Syntac’s cluster videos where he tamed two high level deep water x-fish (I think they’re the ones with the glowing body) and breed the heck out of them to get the perfect pair. After that he brought the entire army to the Mooder boss fight in genesis and completely rinsed her on all three boss level difficulty. So I guess with a well bred x-fish you’ll most likely be untouchable in the water

Like I said before, Xiphincters tend to aggro the entire ocean and the entire ocean wants to kill them... making taming a nightmare if the area isn't cleared out 😅

As amazing as this is, it also shows how overpowered the Xipha's are. Don't get me wrong, its insane but in a fun way, super overpowered and should probably be nerfed. Also, I can't get past the thought that fish don't belong on land lol Also, I've noticed on ASE that dinos seem to be running away long before there torpor is high. Like what happened with the Xipha to you, been happening with Rex's, Sabertooths and Raptors. It's almost like they run away to lure you in, and then turn back around. a new mechanic? Seems most dinos now do that.

Its deffo new.. Or... They started messing with it before ASA was released.. But I think they messed even more with it last time they dropped a post-ASA launch update to ASE.. My bet is they were testing some ai Mechanics on ASE.. Thats why trapping a Carcha dont work anymore.. Its been a while where creatures would run away/loose interest if unable to reach you, but its deffo gotten worse recently.. I just transferred to SE on my SP cluster for the first time, and brought R-Snow Owls with me.. If I attack creatures like Terrorbirds, Sabers and Daeodons without landing, they run away, even if I'm at ground..
