Robert Kayanja is a Ugandan pastor, author, singer, motivational speaker, founder and Senior Pastor of the Miracle Centre Cathedral, a megachurch in Rubaga a Kampala suburb, Founder and CEO of a Christian television station, Channel 44 Television.
Early Life and Education
Pastor Robert Kayanja was born in Masooli along Gayaza road, the central part of Uganda. Kayanja was a miracle child, a life and death decision had to be made as to whether to save his mother or him.
However, God was so gracious, Kayanja was born but with a stuffer which he later survived.
Church Ministry
Pastor Robert Kayanja started the Miracle Centre church together with other few young ministers as a papyrus reed structure. Miracle Centre Cathedral has been growing over the years since its inception, and today it’s one of the largest church buildings in Uganda housing over 10,000 people.
Kayanja was called to serve God at the age of 17 and began his ministry, at the age of 22. In over 36 years of ministry, Kayanja has preached in over 80 nations of the world performing miracles, signs and wonders.
He’s passionate about preaching the gospel no matter what. Pr. Kayanja has demonstrated his passion to preach the gospel of Christ throughout his life, making sure every person around the world gets to know about his master our Lord Jesus Christ.
He has done this through miracle crusades around the globe, telecasts and writing books.
Kayanja is the overseer of the Miracle Bible College, the Never Again Children’s project and the Kapeeka orphanage and a frequent speaker on Daystar Television Network. He has also founded over 1,000 churches under Miracle Centre Church across Uganda.
In his messages, Kayanja encourages his congregation to achieve wealth and serve their personal goals.
Pastor Kayanja is also the chairman of AfriAid and a vision bearer of the 77 Days of Glory, commonly known as the 77DOGs.

Awards and Recognitions
Robert Kayanja won the World Savers Man of The Year Award in 2014 VIGA Merit Award, The VIGA Awards are Uganda’s National Interdenominational gospel awards, through which the gospel music industry recognizes and rewards its peers for their musical accomplishments.
President Yoweri Museveni paid tribute to Pastor Robert Kayanja and General Salim Saleh for spearheading food aid to South Sudan.
“I congratulate the congregation and General Saleh for having the noble idea of helping our brothers and sisters in South Sudan who are in need,” Museveni said.
According to Museveni, Kayanja and Gen Saleh’s deeds were in line with the teachings in the Bible that require a man to love his neighbours as he loves himself. He said that they were making the right move in standing by our brothers in South Sudan.
Family
Pastor Robert Kayanja is married to Jessica Kayanja. Together they have a son Robert Kayanja Jr and twin daughters Kirstein and Kristiana. Kristiana survived brain cancer in 2004 when still a child.
Kristiana is a fashionista. The 24-year-old twin daughter of Robert and Jessica Kayanja launched her brand ‘Kristiana’ on December 22, 2020, at Kampala Serena Hotel.
