Okay, I have a question.... Do you have to be be a publisher to receive publishing royalties? I seen in other videos where people said if you sign up for publishing administration( Songtrust, TuneCore publish administration, etc) they will collect your publishing royalties and also mechanical royalties that you cannot revive unless your signed up with harry and fox foundation. So if I sign up as a writer with BMI or ASCAP do I need to be a publisher too or can I just get publishing administration???....

@djpain1, one my songs got picked up by artist in London. We all registered the tracks on both ASCAP and prs. ASCAP only allowed us to split 50% between the three of us, ( me plus two artist equal split) which led to about me getting 12%. If I also register as a publisher, I can claim the other 50? Also, play w be on Spotify and online radio as well as music video on KZbin, where should I register for royalties besides ASCAP? I'm so confused because there are so many places but it's expensive, all those places have fees per song.... PLEASE HELP
