How Professional Volleyball Can Succeed in the USA | Kelsey Robinson Cook

I need to vent about the VNL in Anaheim! Sister and I bought good tickets to USA-France, super excited to see our first international game! We arrive and park 45 (FORTY FIVE) minutes early. Get to the venue and there are just lines and lines of people. No signs, no employees helping, just lines of people. Overhear different people say the bag check line is on the left, others say it's on the right. They start letting people in but the lines do not move at all. Nobody comes to get people in order. Just a confused crowd waiting outside. Finally it's literally game time and we've barely moved 10 feet. We run around and sneak into another line and finally get in after god knows how long. Remember we were there 45min early to line up! Look back and still a sea of people waiting. Walk in thinking they would've delayed the start, NOPE. I believe it was into double digits already. Missed anthem, intros, tip off and the first 20 or so points despite arriving 45min early. I keep an eye out and definitely looked like people were still streaming in well into the second set (the arena ended up pretty full so it was easy to tell the difference). ABSOLUTE SHIT SHOW. Wrote to the convention center and never heard back... Honestly ruined a big part of what was supposed to be a super fun night watching volleyball. Had to let that out somewhere...

We're here for the venting. I wonder who would actually be the best person/company to contact to change how it's run? Volleyball World? USA? Wouldn't be the convention center, that's just the venue...bummer about your experience though. Sorry that happened!

Funny cause even the players of Team USA were giving fans a heads up on Instagram about the long lines. Even they know 😂

I think that 10-15 teams can be perfect for the pro volleyball federation (pvf), wnba is the clear example for that............ There would be a possibility that they could get more investors to strengthen this league and who knows, a men's league of the same sport could be created, also must to get tv contracts with espn & fox sports; honestly they should do it and moreover this sport is more American than hockey..........

I'm not sure the WNBA is a great model of a successful sports league haha but it would be awesome to see if LOVB can get a decent TV contract and some real money involved in the sport

I went to Anaheim VNL, and they didn't serve alcohol. Missing revenues.
