I thought the nuclear threat had been removed once and for all because of the effective veto on nukes by China. And India isn't happy about nukes either. Neither of those countries could be seen to continue to do business with a nuclear Russia, if the West then boycotted them massively. The West should call Putin's nuclear bluff once and for all and get on with it; all the constant delaying allowed Russia to entrench themselves last year, and is now allowing them more time to prepare itself for the weapons when they come, and the tactical advantage will be lost.

The nuclear threat has not been removed! However so long as Russia is winning, which it is, and Nato doesn't give permission to Ukraine to use nato long range missiles in Ukraine's possession to hit targets deep inside Russia, then there will no use of nuclear weapons by Russia.

Our West are the problem if you have travelled out of the country recently and witness the dislike of many of us. . We are against the wrong war against UKraine and backing the war that is killing so many civilians and kids.. Not the war per se. Supporting Netanyahu to escalate the war. Could it be sweet for those who will die in the involvement into this wrong war after escallation??? I doubt it. France is making a gentle smarter approach. Are we? I read a russian ship with Nuclear is stuck near us. No one is saying we have something to counter that so far. Storm Shadow is not a match for nuclear and at activation of nuclear before we are ready is surely the end. Then we have a PM interested in personal favour that actually helping British.. God help us..

Western investment in Ukraine, including in Ukraine's military capability, will not be lost on Putin. His allies are not offering investment in russia, he will at best be the distressed buyer of munitions with the price reflecting his state of desperation. He knows that and understands that the longer the war goes on the weaker his hand and the russian position becomes. He knows there is a crunch point coming and it could end him, his regime and his overblown country's future economically and politically.

Despite the hoopla, Putin is nothing like Adolf or Napoleon, Stalin etc. two of those guys were decorated in combat and built political movements, and Stalin was robbing Banks and getting into shootouts with cops to fund the movement. Putin is a very soft guy. He’s never had to do much work in his life. Never struggled much. Not surprising he launched attacks incorrectly and was timid really compared to what could’ve been.
