Muy buen vídeo. Yo aprendí inglés viendo películas. Para mí eso fue más interesante que lo que estábamos haciendo en la escuela. Cuando mis amigos estaban jugando afuera yo estaba en casa grabando todo tipo de programas y entrevistas en CNN, MTV lo que sea, y luego los escuchaba y escribía páginas y páginas y páginas, intentaba imitar la pronunciación, el ritmo de hablar, la entonación y la respiración, etc. Yo tenía como 13-14 años. Cuando hablo con los angloparlantes piensan que soy nativo. Hago lo mismo con el español. Miro un montón de KZbinrs hispanohablantes todos los días siempre tomando notas y escribiendo las nuevas palabras y expresiones. 🫠🙈

500 or 600 hours to learn Spanish this is a lot better than Pablo from dreaming Spanish he wants people to listen to him speaking Spanish for 1500 hours without subtitles, sorry Pablo but 500 hours with subtitles is so much easier and only one third the time

Don't be swayed by the claims of learning a language in just 30 days or in 500 hours; there are no shortcuts when it comes to language acquisition. The way kids learn is by listening, and mastering a new language requires a great deal of listening.

To be fair, the 600 hours that the FSI proposes are "classroom hours", and it's hard to know if they imply some self study. Also, the FSI only teaches the areas of the language relevant to them, so mostly politics and economics, and they skip pop culture, literature, music, history, slang, cooking, and a lot of daily life language. And the level that you reach with those claimed 600 hours is also a little unclear. 600 hours are a lot of time, don't get me wrong.... But languages are HUGE, intensely complex subjects to learn, and despite the FSI claiming 600 hours, if you want to get REAL nice and comfortable in MOST situations in a language, I'd lean more onto the 1500 hours as a benchmark. But it's all a gradient of skill, not black and white. And also, it gets easier. After 600 hours you'll be very competent in a language like spanish, and if you decide to go for another 1000, it will be a much easier job, and much more fun than the first 600.
