Its still not super radioactive, the main risk with working with Uranium compounds is that it is a heavy metal like lead or arsenic. Wash your hands after handling it, dont sleep with it, you should be fine

@Pico Rico The whole point of it being radioactive is that it's unhealthy to be around. That's why places like Chernobyl are uninhabitable. It doesn't matter how much uranium is there, I'd rather keep my distance rather than risking it and getting cancer. I mean if you want to, be my guest, but it's better safe than sorry

Unfortunately, this is what exactly happened in post-soviet Ukraine, when every country in that region were extremely poor and some blackmetal seekers scavenged almost everything made of metal in chornobyl radioactive zone, so they can exchange metal for money. Nobody actually cared about radioactive background of that metal scrap. And in 2000s in ukraine or russia you could actually meet chairs, concrete iron rods, beds, with radiation. Ofc the metal from chornobyl zone should go though deactivation process, but you know, ukraine (russia) soviet incompetence and laziness is famous so you can never trust what the officials say
