Man I love this album. From the first listen, I was mesmerised. Not a single weak song, not a single wasted line. The album is a battle between man and computer. The beautiful melodic piece at the end of “let down” depicts the control of man. The abrasive noise heard at the climax of “karma police” is the final victory of the computer. “Fitter happier” is the computer writing the code for human life. Truly a masterpiece. Having to pick a favourite Radiohead album is impossible, but Ok computer is definitely always in the discussion. Great vid, lots of love ❤️

@@MRCATL3oh my god!!! Meeting in the aisle was so good!!! I am so lucky- I got to see them live in Yokohama Japan back in the day. I can’t remember which album the tour wax for- and it was super short. Thom seemed like he was very unhappy

Remembered the context of tepid, post-grunge and mellow alternative bands at the time OK computer was released. So when I put on the earphones at Tower Records, I was blown by the complex arrangements, the seamless infusion of electronic atmospherics and the haunting vocals of Thom Yorke. The impact was almost immediate and the CD was in my player thruout most of that fantastic year of 1997.

The impact OK Computer had in 1997 can't be overstated. Those of us lucky enough to have experienced this will always share a special bond. Many people have come to appreciate Radiohead for later albums, but OK Computer in 1997 specifically was truly game changing.

So true. Definitely a landmark moment. One of the few times I can remember where I was when I listened to it for the first time. Thanks for watching!

Radiohead has legit influenced Rock with almost every album. They were the first "mainstream band" to use the digital "pay what you want" method way before BandCamp even existed. I remember getting In Rainbows as a 13 year old for free and thinking it was the best thing ever. Fast forward and they re released Kid A as a video game. I've had two separate English/writing Professors use Radiohead/Tom Yorke's work as an example of abstract writing in different lessons. I went through puberty with this band, I changed with this band, and honestly i LEARNED from this band. You could do an episode on every album and how they changed music.

Hey man. I just found your channel through this video. I'll definitely pass your videos along. You're making great videos. Great commentary, good edited visuals, tasteful. Only thing I'd say is the volume here is too low. I'd bump it up a tad.

Great video! I was surprised to see that the views are only at 1,600 as of right now. After watching a few of your other videos, you definitely have talent in this field, and you remind me of other channels I've found right before they blew up. Your quality and editing are professional, and the production overall is awesome. Keep up the good work and good luck with this channel!

This album never really gripped me. I enjoy it to a certain degree, but I would’ve never listened to it again if wasn’t for the “instant classic and inarguably THE greatest piece of art ever conceived by humanity” status that’s been thrust upon it. To me, Ok Computer is good, but it’s just some random album that blew up.
