Unsportsmanlike? absolutely. Unlikeable? perhaps, but he is in no way the "biggest cheater" in professional tennis, not even close. Technically speaking he broke no rules and therefore did not "cheat". There have been actual cheaters like match fixers, dopers, illicit drug users etc. so how is he wearing the crown? I'm sorry but I disagree with you on this.

It's hard to call Rosol a cheater, but that's just because it's almost impossible to cheat at a professional level. However he was very unlikeable, and employed very nasty unsportsmanlike tactics. Murray of of course infamously said "no-one likes you" directly to Rosol. But another one was Berdych, who was asked in a press conference about "the Czech mentality," and he responded by saying "I hope you are not comparing me to Rosol."

What really is cheating about what he did? He played by the "rules" and did what he did to gain every little advantage he could get. Similarly one could argue the times that Rafa was taking like forever between points at the disdain of other players, especially the fast-paced ones was his version of gaining every little advantage he could get, so was that too cheating?

Is not like someone doing any of these, will make the ball move different or creating different wind or so on. It’s almost like a habbit for some players to keep their concentration or focus to defend at the opponent server. There is undoubtedly friction between the two players, and having seen the wimbledon match, I can understand that Nadal would've felt bad about losing in that way. I have been a devoted Federer fan for the past 20 years or so, but now, I must admit/say that Nadal has finally stolen the great man's crown from him (in my eyes that is). His immense sportsmanship, admirable humility and gentlemanly manner, as well as, of course, his utterly brilliant, ever-tenacious, purposeful, persevering, and unrelentingly committed match play, rightfully (in my eyes) makes him the GREATEST EVER player. Oh, I forgot to mention that majestic and utterly fearless, lion-like heart of his! 😍 Thank you Mr Nadal for sharing all that you so magnificently and wondrously are with us all. We have all been so immensely privileged to have been able to bear witness to your unparalleled Mastery and Greatness throughout these now many years. Yours with the utmost of respect, gratitude, appreciation and immeasurable thanks, beyond the scope of words to convey. Blessings upon blessings to you Great Sir, today and always 🙏

A bit unfair on Rosol. Nadal is an offender himself when it comes to irritating the opposing player deliberately... His OCD serving tactics, constantly slowing play by bouncing the ball before serving. Rosol broke no rules, unlike Nadal who's had a few time violations in his time.

What a waste of time watching this video! You ‘talk’ about the cheating, etc., but the only actual example you use is the knocking of the racket on the ground during Rama’s serve prep. So I have to rely on you telling me that this Rosol guy is cheating. I’m waiting to see the evidence. I can imagine any competitor getting tense or uptight facing someone who obviously is able to take the match up to them and potentially win. That’s normal. So for Rafa and his camp to be ‘overly’ excited to win, just tells me the opponent had the potential to beat Rafa. If I’m really interested, now I would have to go back and do the research to see if Rosol was actually a bad sport. 👎👎

Nadal is indeed a champion but I don't think there is a whole lot of luck in this game. They played and he won, period. After all, several other 10s of 1000s of players won't even have a video made about them, less be remembered for anything at all. He will always be there somewhere in Rafa's story and that is something.

Rafa takes 55 seconds on average between serves, takes medical timeouts everytime is losing a match, calls for hawkeye challenges long after the point is over, is that not cheating? Australian public is knowledgeable and booed Rafa after his medical timeout against Wawrinka in the AO 2014 final. Uncle Toni regularly coaches Rafa (cheating). Rafa is the biggest cheater in the sport and it's greatest champion at the same time how that is possible, i have no idea

To be fair to Rosol, he did produce some pretty stunning tennis in that Wimbledon match, hitting hard and flat, zero margin for error, with dozens of outright winners that Rafa didn't even have time to move for. It was a gamble, but on a quick surface against a player who prefers slower surfaces to utilise his heavy tospin and keep his opponent pinned to the back & grind them down - and it paid off.

It's more dirty tactics but it still does have bad impact on the focus of the opponent. Djokovic has its habits of making the ball bouncing a lot, Nadal has its assdickshoulderearsnose, it's a way to prepare yourself for the point, Rosol didn't need to hit his racquet on the ground before Nadal's serve cuz it's not a routine to be focus for example.
