The reason Dre, and Ross get “bots” following them is because people been following them since Twitter came out are now “inactive” or in other words “a bot”

Plus his page always showed up on recommended back in 2013-16. So that's where all the bots, fake accounts, deleted accounts, and inactive accounts came from. Dre not worried about anything. Dre shouldn't be the focus of this conversation. The focus of this conversation should be newer rappers who are barley known/liked but somehow manage to get millions of views, streams, likes.

The follower thing is not always true like dr.dre he made his account in 2009, well 11 years later a lot of those accounts that followed him have went inactive. When they did the thing since there was so many inactive accounts they are viewed as fake

This makes sense but only to an extent, 32% of his followers being real is very very low. not everyone followed him in 2009, 10 or 11 and even if they did the chances of 68% of them being inactive to the point of fake is very low.

Soundcloud can be fake as hell too. I have definitely found accounts from what seem like actual 13 year olds with hilariously bad music, but every song gets right around 1 million plays and then they will have a couple tracks that they didnt pay to get boosted with a few hundred plays. Edit and their songs will have so many comments from all these seemingly fake accounts, no profile pictures, just saying generic things at random times in the song too.

Let me explain how this usually happens in more broad terms. If you have any idea of what a botnet or a zombie is then its essentially that (usually) except they are using the zombies as servers to load their accounts and play the song in mass. Depending on how many cores the bots computers have I'd say at least 30 plays per zombie. You can also get farms on hf but the hard part is making a script to do this for you. Which isn't that hard if the net you're using has a functional API.

Drake did the same thing. He put a song from 2009 into his 2019 Album. The song was "Best I Ever Had" it was a not that known song back then but soon I heard people listening to it after his new release.
@tylerd12972 жыл бұрын
What album? Afaik he re-released So Far Gone (his mixtape, not the EP) to streaming and that song was on it, that was it. I know 2009 is a long ass time away now but that song was huge back then. Played all summer that year on the radio.

Maybe this is why my Spotify account, where I spent hours making playlist for certain games/things I do - got deleted. Like - I can't find it anymore, I can't log in anymore, I never changed the password, nor email. So Spotify deleted it, which really pisses me off

This whole time my spotify randomly went to songs were because of bots? Damn I thought my spotify was tweaking...

No he’s wrong he has no idea what he’s talking about as far as bots are concerned.

For the twitter bot thing, can twitter actually tell if it’s an actual bot or do they also mark account that are new with no tweets or something as bots?

Now I wonder how Chris Brown has 60 mil followers yet his albums barely make a million sales
@aesie12293 жыл бұрын
Well haven’t you thought maybe he fell off? He is still popular but as he used to in the 2000s.
@georgelincolnrockwell46593 жыл бұрын
Chris Brown was super popular back in the days so it makes sense he's also widely acclaimed even if he isn't in his prime anymore. We're talking about these nobodies like Lil Teeca.

question: do you think its a good idea to do this when you're just starting out? maybe for the first year until you can get to a legit 100k followers/ daily listeners or something like that? after you get momentum drop the act little by little.

That happened to me once. I went to go play a song on Spotify and then someone started trying to stream a song but no one else but me was on Spotify. The song kept trying to be played when I was listening to music.

There is money in SoundCloud though. People are signed onto a record label and put onto SoundCloud to make them appear as if they started from nothing. Then when they blow up, its seems like nothing but their talent made them big.
