I don’t think it’s necessarily that theyre getitng less rare, it’s just that mythical zoans are some of the strongest fruits and are being used by the strongest people. So as we get into the latter part of the series, a lot of the top tiers are gonna be having mythical zoans. It’s just like how pre-haki, logias were still rare but all the top tiers had them, so by marineford they SEEMED more common than they are, but we saw like 5-6 logia’s out of probably 20+ fruits

I completely agree and the strongest people have the strongest fruits, and they die less often, so they get passed around far less frequently And the mithical ones are more rare as well because there are less of them overall

@@axelbalderrama141there's more then 6 logias out there, for example there's the clay clay fruit which is a logia (not gonna mention anything more then that due to spoilers incase you aren't a Manga reader). So seems like its not just elemental only but something to do with entangibility or some or a non solid substance maybe? Or maybe odd decided to branch out of the restriction of logia's being elemental only now (again he retconned a logia later in the series to change it into a special paramecia aka a paramecia that can act like one of the other df types which in this case was logia attributes) Also makes me think the darkness fruit is just a special logia by that same logic since it acts kinda like paramecias

I feel like the person who made the stats looked at how many fruits were there total, compared them to all the devil fruits used in the entirety of the show so far or perhaps the managa, then used that to get their data.

There are a little over 200 fruits that we have seen from Manga, anime and movies, if you take the 6 mythical Zoans we have seen with Luffy, Kaido, Yamato, Orochi, Marco and Devon that makes it so that the proportion of Mythical Devil Fruits is about 3%.

I am pretty sure luffy’s devil fruit is a level above mythical zone. It’s a god mythical zone , and it’s not like singoku, according to a very popular theory that’s probably true (just like how luffy eating a mythical zone was once a theory) , it’s that there are 4 God devil fruits , one of which is the sun god fruit that luffy ate. We got a hint of this back in Skypeia. So luffy’s devil fruit is probably like in the top

Tbh it makes complete sense for stronger fruits to appear more in the endgame. Even more so now that we have learned that (at least Zoans) have a will of their own it makes sense that they'd wanna be eaten by stronger people who will have a bigger impact on the world of One Piece and move towards where stronger people find themselves i.e. the New World. Then when the user dies, considering the fruit will respawn in the closest suitable fruit by proximity it also makes sense for them to stay around the New World once they get there. People there are already much stronger and competition too, so even if a random nobody finds and eats it he'd soon just be killed off for it to be eaten by a stronger candidate, or be brought to one of the leaders of the respective territory, so they can extract it or whatever.

Of course we see those rarer fruits more often. People eating devil fruits know that they're taking a gamble (aside from Luffy) to become stronger. If it's a mythical Zoan, the chances of them becoming really strong and important to the story are higher.

When your ranked in any games is higher you will find stronger opponent because the weak one got filtered, when you play an mmo the higher you progress you will more likely to find people with rare item and higher gear because they are at the end

I believe the reason we see so many zoans and the rare versions of it, is because they have a will of their own, so they can move around or something while other df cant, and we have to remember there are alot of df that are lost like under snow, dirt and so on, so zoans might be able to get out while other df might not be able to

Well, using MATH, we simply put the amount of mythical zoans and how many devil fruits there are total into a fraction and multiply by a hundred. By doing this, we get a decimal of 4.34. Meaning out of your already rare chance of gaining a devil fruit, you have a 4.34% chance of gaining a mythical zoan fruit. And rounding that down to the nearest whole percentage, you get an abyssmal 4%. So regardless of how many we see in the future, that's still considerably rare.

Yamato has the mythical inu inu no mi: Mikuchi-no-mikami ice dog fruit Sengoku has the hito hito no mi: Model Daibutsu (golden buddha) Shogun Orochi has the hebi hebi no mi model Yamata no Orochi Katarina Devon has the Fox Fox fruit model Kitsune. Doc Qs horse on blackbeards crew has a horse horse fruit model Pegasus The monk Zoro fights on the bridge to get his sword back in Wano has a mythical "Onyudo" fruit. So yeah, theres been quite a few lately.

I always felt it as certain devil fruits aren’t more rare that’s other but defiantly more sought after, like one fruit isn’t gonna pop up more than other, it’s like they kinda just show up when they feel like it, for ex: if someone with a devil fruit dies, that fruit reappears five year later and get eaten then when the second user dies it’s could be twenty years till it appears again. Instead of the being different.

They're only rarer than Logia because they basically manipulate events/fate to choose who eats them. In Orochi's case it came to a former Rocks member who spoonfed it to Orochi.

The numbers probably come from known quantity of devil fruits currently. There's not enough information to disprove that the unfound devil fruits would cause a great disparity in the percentages.

No, it’s survivors biased. The stronger a devil fruit the more likely it’s user is to survive and prosper. Since we follow luffy who has survived and prosper, the more he (and in turn us) will see overpower devil fruits, since that is what it takes to get here.

Very simple reason that could factor in why mythical zones are so rare. It was stated that the World Government spent centuries trying to get the Nika devil fruit. Get they couldn't with all their power and resources. And we stayed this was because the Nika had a will of it's own. So it's possible that mythical zoans have some influence on things like where we reincarnat and who finds it. Meaning it's possible that mythical zones can avoid being eaten by people they don't find Worthy of their power. And send mythical zones are so powerful and make their user so durable. That it's rare for them to actually die. So that's even less time for one to be in circulation. And I wouldn't be surprised if there was some kept by the celestial dragons as either treasure or to keep them away from others.

Answer with a spoiler for those that haven't read the manga I still think the mythical zoan types are still incredibly rare i mean in the new world at that point the types are normally shown cause a good percentage were consumed already. In certain blue. I think they would most likely be rare, or somehow made to the area because of unknown circumstances. Like how luffy got his fruit powers not even knowing what the fruit really is.

People always complain about how all the stuff that is stated to be rare is increasingly more common as the series goes on (devil fruits in the beginning of the show, specific df types, haki, conquerors, etc.) which makes me realizes a lot of people don’t really think. 1. For story telling purposes it wouldn’t make sense to make the next major villain weaker than previous ones. How else would our protagonist experience a new problem and learn to grow. 2. It’s more fulfilling to introduce a concept and then expand on it. Devil fruits are personally my favorite power system because there’s limitless potential for what they can do especially in the paramecia class. 3. When the series started we started our journey in what is reportedly the weakest sea with basically jack shit going on. Of course that region is going to find dfs to be rare. We are now in the most dangerous part of the world where every corner has some shit going on. Essentially with us moving through the world in a pretty consistent growth of danger, the dangerous shit is going to be increasingly more common in said parts of the world. For example if you can’t use haki in the new world or don’t have some kind of df power that can help you keep up, you’re not gonna make it. In the East Blue you don’t need any kind of real power to be considered a threat, hence Don Kreig, who made it to the grabd line just to realize he ain’t shit because there were monsters like Mihawk who reside there. Essentially the increasing commonality of concepts is what we call growth.

I mean technically, you have an equal chance of finding any devil fruit but if you add all the regular ones and the mythical and compare it it’s pretty low chance
